This post is only a teen bit on topic but it's a slow day so I'm gonna post. Feel free to scroll. There are 3 things that I'm passionate about. Tied for first are ADAM and Seahawks football (what a very odd combination. I wonder what that says about me). The third is the Outlander Series of books. I found out about them right here on Atop and they've really filled alot of Adam down time. On Saturday I will be making my first foray into Outlander fandom, the Outlander Retreat is being held in Seattle and I have tickets for my DD and me. We get a a signed copy of the next book which doesn't release until next week and our pics taken with the author. And lots of Scottish related activities. There are people traveling from overseas to be there (sound familiar ) When I purchased the tickets there was alot of page refreshing going on  And there were fans devastated when they didn't get a ticket. It all sounds so terribly familiar to me. I am really curious to see how another fandom responds to their "idol". I wonder if some of them will be dressing up in costume?? |
