OT Those with more experience of these concert layouts - does anyone have any thoughts on how the area around the 'thrust' will play out? Will everyone stay in their seats (or at least stand by them) - or will they leave seats and rush to the barriers around the stage and thrust area? Will security stop this or is it expected? Could there be people from the floor areas behind, coming forward? (Just considering a different seat and wondered....) Security will almost certainly stop this from happening. Agree there is no way security will allow people forward - they will have people on all the aisles at specific points and will be keeping them clear for safety reasons. People will be able to stand in front of their seats and that's probably it...

stage 1: In the beginning (AI time) I was so much in awe of the VOICE I shared with everyone around me for the only reason that I wanted them to enjoy it as well. stage 2: I became an Adam missionary (end 2009 - 2011): actively promoting Adam for his sake. I gifted his albums to everyone I could think of, I sent YT links, articles... I know of no-one who became a fan as a result of my efforts ... stage 3: the last couple of years I casually mention important events only (new album, new tour) to my friends, I share my excitement with my family because they are happy for me, but I no longer "promote" Adam. I think I gave up, with a thought "it's their loss"... I am the lucky one! Together with all of you!

I am so glad this topic (trying to introduce friends and family to the wonder of AFL) came up so I can share my story! I have been basically alone in my own private fandom since "Mama". Adult kids just rolled their eyes and only comment they offered was "I just don't get it!" So I stepped back and decided that it was their loss and I was not going to let their attitude diminish my joy. Friends have been more receptive and tolerate my obsession. Several in fact are going to MSG with me, so it should be interesting to hear their reactions on the train ride back home that night. And thanks to this great forum, Irene Rose, another Staten Islander, and I found each other! We have met a few times and found we had a lot in common. She is joining us on the train to MSG! But even betterer: just Irene Rose and I are going to Phiily the night before! We can't wait for the day to get here! My youngest brother played (folky, Allman Bros. Type) guitar in a neighborhood band back in his youth and still loves music. He and his wife came to take our mother to Mothers Day lunch and joined me on our porch for a while after they returned. I don't know what possessed me, but I had Atop opened on my iPad, sitting on my lap.....and I found myself blurting out "GUESS who I'm going to see in concert in July?! And not one show, but two!!" Of course, I didn't give them a chance to guess. I felt so FREE, announcing "Queen!!!!!....with Adam Lambert!" Then I waited for it........he looked at me, smiled and said "That is AWESOME!! Adam is amazing and he is the perfect singer to appear with Queen! He has the lungs to carry their music!" it took me a moment or two to recover, as you can imagine. I had NO idea he even knew who Adam was! We chatted for a few more minutes before they had to leave. Of course, I could not let the convo just die, so I hopped on IM and texted him the link to iHeart. A few minutes later, he IMd back "WHERE are those concerts again?" *and another one bites the dust........ When I told him there is one at Izod, not 20 mins from his front door......I had him! 10 mins later he IMd they had floor seats and could not wait to see them! Then he dropped another news bomb on me: he had seen Queen with FM! They opened for Chicago, the act he went to see, and he had no idea who these guys were..... And his 19 year old psyche didn't know what to make of Freddie in white spandex, all the costume changes, etc....but by the end of their set, he said the whole place was going crazy and he knew he had accidentally witnessed something very special. So as you can see, you never know when you will find another kindred spirit! They're out there! They're just not as vocal as we are!
Very nice story and thank you for sharing it with us. I believe there are kindred spirit out there, but I prefer they found Adam themselves, just like your brother did.

So, they are rehearsing in LA this next week. Do we know if Adam is still living in the condo? Has he moved into his new home? Any hints from ninjas? Ads for the condo for rent? Signs of moving vans? I know. None of my business. Just wondering. Yes, the condo is for rent. I would guess Adam moved into his house before he left for London, but only guessing. As a matter of fact, would not be a bit surprised if that shopping trip on May 16th was to stock up his new refrigerator!
So if they're coming to LA for rehearsal this week, and Adam has moved in to his new house. I'd say Rufus will stay with him

Aww, thank you very much, Lady!!! Though I can't take credit for this work all by myself - I created the initial image and then my son added all that elegance and monochromatic refinement :-) I think that for 9-year-old he has quite an artistic vision *proud-mom*
You very welcome It is great work, you should be proud mom.

Really enjoying reading about everyone's experiences trying to get the "Adam message" out there. Adam is like a great book, a superb wine, a delicious confection- I can't get enough and I like to share with those I care about. I do send YouTube performances and post to Facebook every so often. I don't mention or push my obsession, but AFL music is playing out on the patio when I'm working outside or entertaining and I love playing my AFL songs in my car. Everyone knows I am a megafan, but most do not understand it(myself included). The fact is, I am mature enough to be secure in my own skin. I really don't need, nor want, anyone's approval. I just know that being a fan brings me a lot of joy and life is too short to not appreciate what makes us happy. I also enjoy Atop because it is fun to come here and realize there are so many like-minded souls from all over the world that "get it".

No, I would say the Queen members will stay at the best hotel in LA! Or, the Sunset Marquis, which guards their celebrities' privacy!

I'm watching another singing show called "Sing Your Face Off". Sort of like Dancing With The Stars and even includes one celebrity that was on DWTS. The celebrities spin a wheel to determine which singing star they will impersonate the next week. They get singing coaching, choreography, wardrobe, and makeup that makes they look rather like the person they are impersonating. For the most part, the singing is not that great, but the comedy has me in laughing a lot. The first contestant tonight impersonated Freddie singing We Are The Champions. It was OK, but I wasn't impressed. He got eliminated tonight. The last contestant, 15 year old Disney star China Anne McClain, impersonated Alicia Keys singing This Girl Is On Fire. She was REALLY, REALLY GOOD!
