I am a long time lurker since day 1 here. Just to show my tremendous appreciation for Talon, Q3 and the other members contribution for all the info on queen and Adam, and to help push this to page 2 for Talon, here I am posting away. I'm honored! And thanks everyone for helping make the push...I had the post all ready to go and was just awaiting the click!

Thank you for Talon and Q3 and others for all the introduction of Queen's songs. I feel that I will be much prepared for the upcoming Queen concerts that I will be attending. I will enjoy them even more because of you. I am very luck to live in one of the suburbs of Toronto so that I am going to the 2 QAL concerts in Toronto. I will be going with my 14 years old on July 13th. I will go with my husband on July 28th. Both of them are well aware of my passion for Adam and they know that he is a very talented singer and performer but never heard him sang live. They think that Adam is OTT with make-up and not their cup of tea. I hope this will change their minds and open their eyes to what a once in a life time great singer/performer that he is. Also they will get to enjoy the great music and amazing musicians of the band of QUEEN. What a match made in heaven.

Just to clarify for the last sentence in my last post, I meant QAL is a match in heaven since Freddie past away. However, I don't mean to disrespect Freddie Mercury who left behind many many awesome songs and a great legacy.

Well, I just finished watching the Queen biography for the 5th or 6th time and I must say besides the talent which is beyond measure, Roger and Brian are wonderful people as we all have learned. They are so loyal as friends of the great Freddie! It is no wonder why Adam loves them so much as he is the same kind of person. It truely is a match made in heaven! Just a wonderful look at what is was to be Queen

I know I am far from objective when it comes to Adam's voice. And before I continue, please understand I have the utmost respect for Freddie as the quintessential frontman. With those caveats, I just had to share that during my initial viewing of the TV preview I had briefly looked away during part of Freddie singing Bo Rhap. They switched to Adam singing the next phrase on the iHeart performance, and my ears immediately perked up to the difference in richness of tone even before my brain clicked that it had to be Adam singing and I looked back at the computer screen.
Freddie's tone at that point in the song is more metallic and piercing. Adam's is fuller and rounder, with more of the lower harmonics in the tone. It may be one of the reasons people think Freddie sounds more authentic rock, more raw, while Adam more music theater. Which you prefer is personal. The difference is very noticeable. At least to me.
