That interview was so funny. Reminded me of one of those awkward 'panel' interviews for a new job at the start. Also the first time I can remember Adam having crossed arms in an interview. But he can turn around any situation it seems and make it charming and fun. Is that the first time he has directly acknowledged how ambitious he is? It was always there, but I can't remember him ever saying it so directly? My son is 19 and he is trying to stop saying 'like' and 'you know' when he speaks. Because he is consciously trying to do this, I noticed how frequently Adam said 'you know'. A couple of years ago I also starting using 'you know' too much. I only realised when I listened to something I recorded for work. Was quite a shock. Mercifully, I don't use 'like' at all What a complex, beautiful man. So much to love even swimming in the 'kiddie pool'. I say enjoy ALL of him

I don't want to be a spoil sport, but Digital Journal is a site where anyone can sign up to write articles and reviews. Rather like Examiner. Nice to read praise for Adam, but it has no more legitimacy than any author on Adamtopia reviewing a concert has.

Once I become sensitive to it (because my husband called me out on using it too much) started to notice it more and more to point where I often can't listen to speakers because every second phrase is either "you know" or "like"... One speaker who not only doesn't say either but who also employs the full range of the english language in delightful ways is Alain de Botton... there are others but they get fewer and farther between as a quick trip through TED talk land will evidence... Oh well. Thanks for heads up on Adam using it in this talk - probably won't bother to listen as it drives me totally batty.
