Jake Counselbaum @jakecbaum Well, Queen was unbelievable. Adam Lambert is one hell of a front man. My mom and I were able to get right up... fb.me/3aRMsuKkx

See that is what I'm wondering...did Adam even know about the crown or was he wearing it when he return I the leopard suit? If Brian put it on his head then the fans can't really hold that against Adam (not that it will stop them because many Queen fans are irrational in their dislike of everything Adam). For the record I don't hold it against Adam.....or even bri or rog. I don't like everything any of them do....and this is just something I wasn't a fan of...I just had a sinking feeling...something I didn't want at a gig like this. I mean now now that it's happened, I'll be prepared and it won't bother me as much....I think. I don't know which show you're going to but perhaps the crown was just for opening night and won't be repeated, especially if he reads that some fans were unhappy about it.

OMG! I've been sitting here just amazed at this whole show! I'm even more excited if that's even possible. Loved, loved it. Don't give a bleep if the crown is critcized...ain't that deep. Royalty in my eyes.

Ask him to give you a ticket for yourself as an anniversary present. He can go out with the boys and you to the concert. Everybody wins Just like mys*&@^#r - a reasonable, practical idea which has no chance - BUT when Adam tours his own music, you better bet I will be there even if it's Christmas and New Year's rolled into one

I've got to thank Lynneville too. The audio is amazing! I'm listening to it and hanging out here. What a wonderful night. I wonder what Adam is doing right now!!!

I am writing this from the next world, because things both shallow and deep have put me there. On the shallow end: the combination of Adam swooning on the purple couch, his straining white pants, his awe-inducing leopard suit barely concealing an enticingly bare chest, and those toned shoulders and biceps. On the deep end: I have never heard Adam sing better and more masterfully, or take more charismatic charge of the stage, than he did tonight.
What a night! I couldn't care less what the haters may think; that show was insanely fantastic. Brian and Roger were magical - unlike a lot of aging rockers I could name, those guys have gotten even more accomplished over the years. My one and only complaint (and it's a small one): I wish they would have included "Innuendo" in the set list. It's such a powerful song, and Adam would have done an outstanding job with it.
And, who woulda thought some Queen fans would take the crown thing so seriously? I doubt Freddie ever intended his own crown wearing to be anything more than a campy bit of stage business. I loved seeing Adam crowned - though it would have been a hoot if Brian had given him a pageant-y, Miss America type crown. All hail King Adam!
Shout-out to Talon: I get your take on the crown moment, but I'm glad you were pleased with the rest of the show. And I really appreciate how much you've done to educate us Glamberts about Queendom. I admit to being just a casual fan of Queen before, but you inspired me to dig deeper into the music and learn more about Freddie, Dr. Bri, Roger, and John.

Just to add...maybe it's just that sadness in me that I won't ever get to see Freddie....perform or create anything new. And seeing Adam crowned so to speak...just hits that pit that never goes away fully. Everything else seemed to be a celebration of Queen's legacy and very respectful . This seemed....to be counter to all of that. I know I'm overtired and part of it is just the bitterness that as much as I am grateful to Adam for helping the boys back on the road..and how awesome this show will be and I get to see Brian and roger whom I love as much as Freddie....but I can't really ever get hat feeling. So unlike many Queen purists I will take so e responsibility for the negative feeling I had and I know it wasn't meant to be disrespectful.... So I'll stop. Considering it's 5 min of a 2 hr show,. I had no complaints about anything else,.ok maybe that they didn't do white queen... You're a lovely man,I so appreciate all you have given us here at Adamtopia..R.E.S.P.E.C.T for you.It made me so happy to see Adam Brian and Roger give the most amazing performances.. enjoying each other, the audience and just being alive.. It is sad to lose someone you so enjoyed... but look what Freddie left the world .. what a legacy.Isn't it great that there is Adam who can so embrace the music and can relate to it and share Freddie's songs with the rest of us.There is noting better than hearing those incredible songs live.I really thought the crown was for all of us.. like in We are the Champions...I never thought of it as crowning a new Queen.. Have a good night Talon and thanks again for being you.
