adamrocks, thanks for bringing the Talc video of Radio Gaga. I don't know why I missed that one, you would think that in the many hours I have devoted to this concert I would have seen it! Those final notes? Is there anything this boy can't do? Amazing to me that he is still pulling things out of his bag of tricks. What an accomplished talent he is. Now I want to hear him do some 50' - 60's doo wop. And some of the songbook standards. Someday, perhaps. For now, many many more hours with Queen and Adam Lambert ahead.

Random thoughts after watching and reading and experiencing the Chicago concert from half a world away:
They feel so much more like an unit now. Before, I saw Queen + Adam Lambert and yesterday, it was something new. LaQueen or something, whatever you could call it, if it even needs a name. It was great to see. And fascinating to see as well. How do these things change? Did Adam step out more? Is it that they just have played more together? Did it evolve? Did someone make a decision?
I am so happy that I will get to see Adam being over the top and theatrical! I just discovered that he existed last year, and I have been watching the GNT shows with great envy. The 2013 shows felt really different than that to me. And for a bit I was afraid that Starchild was the last time we were going to see that side of Adam in full.
Gah that man is hot!
One of my favorite moments from the show is the moment that Brian crowns Adam, not for the crown, but because of the fact that Adam tries to help him by taking hold of his guitar. I think Adam just wanted to free up one of Brians hands, but then Brian trusts him completely and just lets go of his instrument. And all of a sudden Adam is holding the red special. I mean, that is some kind of trust.
Killer Queen used to be about a call girl (or so I have read somewhere, probably in one of those most excellent lessons by Q3 and Talon). But Adam has made it about himself. He ís the killer queen (Dynamite with a laser beam, Guaranteed to blow your mind, Anytime).
That VOICE. It gets me every time. I tried to listen to the audio of the concert while doing something else (real life, you know), but I just couldn't. Adam just sucks me in, until I exist in his voice.
And I am really going to see this in person!! Please universe, please don't let anything happen to prevent that. And maybe let them come to Europe after this? It is not fair that so many people that want to go here can't see them live.

I cannot find some pictures I was sure I captured but they are of the different pairs of shoes Adam wore with his costumes. If anyone happens to run across pictures of his shoes - I know there were some out there on twitter - could you post or DM them to me. Don't ask me why- I took some pics of his shoes with my iPhone: t.co/rjXH8T6jxIt.co/7QPed10j9Ft.co/tufxv5goVKThese are my twit pic links, hope it works! Yes, thanks - a good start!

Ok - so my daughter and I are at the kitchen table, going over Queen songs. Her repertoire was initially pretty much limited to We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and.... Delilah (Talon, that last one is totally your fault. A Freddie song with meowing. I may never forgive you for putting that on Talon's Takes).
Warning. Never tell a young elementary schooler that there are lyrics that go "GaGa" "GooGoo" when they are in the middle of eating strawberry yogurt. Let's just say there was a lot of wiping up to do between first talking about lyrics and learning the hand claps.
Also, so many people talk about "Wayne's World" being their intro to Queen. Well, it kinda depends how old the person in question is. For my kid, THIS was her intro to Queen:
To her, the song ALWAYS has singing penguins, dynamite explosions, and Beaker singing the MEEEEEEEEEE part. She was a little disappointed there wasn't a "Dada" section in the real version....." Told her she needed to learn the actual lyrics for the concert.
ETA: Just realized that Janice is playing Brian May's Red Special!

It looks like a Queen fan got a recording of Chicago...with my technical difficulties at the moment, I haven't heard it - I will try to get it here as soon as I can Here's the Thread with the torrentIn case if someone gets there first and can put it up on mediafire or whatever. PLEASE don't convert to mp3 and post. They would like it to remain in FLAC. You can convert for your own personal use but they would prefer to keep the share in FLAC You can now download the FLAC audio, plus the mp3 audio from SoundCloud, plus lots of videos. The FLAC audio is split into individual songs so that no file is over 43 MB and you do not have to merge any files after downloading. FLAC audio gives the very best audio quality and plays very nicely in the free VLC Media Player ( www.videolan.org/). tinyurl.com/oebu9o2or copy & paste into web browser address bar: mega.co.nz/#F!bIFxFJAK!0AYXPT312aSYhE0RStFscg Look for "Audio" file, then "side1" and "side2" contains the FLAC files. You can make a CD from these with the right software. ITunes does not read FLAC files, but they can be converted to WAV files which ITunes does read without any loss of quality. Let me know if you want instructions.

I can't write a recap, at least not yet. I find concerts to be such a visceral experience, and this one was no different in that respect. However, I am experiencing such a conflict between joy at seeing Adam + Queen and missing Freddie so desperately that my head is all mucked up and I just can't deal. I'll just say that I found it extremely powerful. My concern is that some people who are still holding onto Freddie so tightly after all these years and all the different singers that Queen has used won't be able to even give Adam a chance. I hope these concerts will open some minds to the unique artist that Adam is totally separate and apart from Freddie. But I guess those who feel that strongly won't attend a concert anyway. They buried Queen along with Freddie. That's sad.

I hadn't listened it Radio GaGa either. And yes, that last phrase was so clever -- harking back to when radio was king. I like to think that was Adam's idea! but maybe Queen did that before.

I need a step by step tutorial on how to do this. I want to learn how to do this, and I have a feeling this is a good one to be placed on CD. I would pay you to do this. But also I would love to learn how.
