I'm going to attempt to finish my recap I started late last night but my head seems to still be in a sort of 'up in the clouds' state!
I can not describe the concert any better than
Q3. The stage was filled with MAGIC from the first to last note sung and played! The energy, the love, the campy fun, and the amazing singing and playing just exploded through the entire arena and the crowd was feeling and loving every minute of it!! I can't explain how the loud roar of the crowd just made me all emotional! I kept saying to myself "They get it...finally...the crowds are understanding and feeling what an amazing talent AFL is and how magical this tour will be! Like Q3 said so beautifully Brian, Roger, Adam, and the whole band took us back and moved us forward at the same time. It was just incredible!!
At the concert as I was standing in the merchandize line I started talking two young girls from Tennessee who drove 8 hours to see the concert. They were both Queen and Adam fans and I told them about Adamtopia so I hope they'll join us!
I sat next to a couple from Indiana who were probably in their late twenties or early thirties.. She said they go to lots of concerts (mostly rock concerts) and her DH was a big Queen fan. I told her how amazing AFL was and she said she really didn't know yet what to think of him. (LOL! She asked me if I was one of those crazy fans who jumped up down and screamed through whole concerts and I said no I didn't do that.
) Well...once the show started we all stood up and stayed up and I looked over at her DH, during, I can't remember what song AOBTD or Tie Your Mother Down I think,...and he was clapping, moving, and woohooing and having a great time as was his wife! After the show was over I asked her how she liked the concert and she said "Yeah...I really liked it BUT TOO SHORT...I WANT MORE!" (
Another one bites the dust! )After the concert we ended up at some corner bar type of place with great atmosphere and delicious food! (we were all starving) I love places like that because you can really get a kind of sense of the people that live in the town. We had so much fun...we were still all on an Adam/Queen high and it was about 12:00 am and we all hadn't had much sleep the night before the concert so we were all surviving on adrenaline I think!lol I must tell you
Momtomany was so much fun and has such a beautiful soul. I am so glad we finally got to meet and share Adam time together. She looked so cute. She had listen to Adam and was all decked out in a gorgeous outfit that I wish Adam could have seen! Maybe he did because she was sitting right at the thurst with Q3! Lucky gals!
All the ladies were really great fun to be with sharing our Adam love! Thank you girls.
My DS surprised us and went and played "Kickin in" on the player machine. A couple came up and started talking to us. They were from Iowa and had been at the concert. Then another couple came in and started talking with us. They were from Michigan and went to the concert also! So much love for Adam and Queen by people who never saw each other before talking and sharing their love and feelings! We all talked and felt like we knew each other forever...Adam brings people together...he really does! We told them about Adamtopia so I hope they'll joy us here, too. So much fun and as Paula would say: IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING!"
Sorry I rambled on so but I'm still trying to come down from the concert!
It was so wonderful to finally put faces to Adamtopia names and great to see people I had met before and make new friends on this Chicago journey. I want to say a big
