Of all of the great pics we have gotten over the last few days this one is imho the best. I need mom or aleks to give me the words for my feelings. I see someone looking into the future, into era 3, a long career but firmly in the present.  This is an excerpt from his interview with Steve Adams for 99.9 BOB FM radio station about Queen's June 21st show in Winnipeg: Steve: The reviews I've been seeing are fantastic, very flattering. It seems like it's very theatrical, there's a lot of visual spectacle to it, too. Adam: To me, it was important to bring some of that onto the stage. Freddie loved that stuff. If you go back and look at the earliest imagery, Freddie was decked out, really glamtastic costumes and nail polish and makeup. That was part of the spirit of the band, especially early on. And then as the look transitioned, Freddie went much more machismo, but it was still this heightened, over the top spectacle. So I've taken a lot of the visual stuff, a lot of the wardrobe, and the iconography and I've tried to update it and make it work for me, but it's been inspired by the band's original look. His words are love and respect, his actions too. As you can see, the crown on his head is for his beloved Freddie - his idol, his inspiration, his father. The crown I think Adam truly deserves is also there, right in his heart. “My Crown is in my heart, not on my head: Not deck'd with Diamonds, and Indian stones: Nor to be seen: my Crown is call'd Content, A Crown it is, that seldom Kings enjoy.” What to say about the future of the man whose heart is filled with content and love - he is a greater man of us all and I'll let him lead me. I posted in the Chicago thread not sure how much action now.
Terri and I got back from Chicago last night just in time for the live stream, our scheduled flight was delayed looking at the sky a large storm was brewing to the west and I wanted to watch the live steam no matter what. Luckily we were at the airport early and South West seems to have flights every hour to Tampa. While Terri was watching the luggage at our gate I ran to the 6pm flight and asked if we could get on the flight, no problem not full, called Terri and off we went home just in time to start the live stream in the shuttle to the car (determined Glamberts/Queenberts). What an amazing live stream, were able to watch the last 90 minutes on my TV with great sound and a glass of wine reliving the great show on Thursday night.
The recaps from our eloquent writers said it all the best show ever, the band are top notch, Brian and Roger are amazing musicians, I know they have years of experience but they know their craft Neil and Spike also. I see lots of people wanting Rufus as Adam’s drummer count me in I noticed he swapped places with Roger at one point would not have noticed except one of the videos had a close up, he is very cute and the girls would love him. Being the first show I loved the surprise of seeing all the outfits Adam wore for the first time he looked amazing in each one also waiting to see what songs he would sing the clothes just added to it.
I loved that he did Tie Your Mother Down, Stone Cold Crazy, of course Killer Queen on the couch next to us pure Adam being camp love it. Love Kills just plays over and over in my head.
I was on the left side of the cat walk at the end so all the action was in front of us cannot believe my luck just such an amazing night, trying to figure out how to get another concert in will see what happens not worried about tickets if they keep opening up great seats the week before.
Theosgma – Sympathy you and your family, her wishes sound perfect and she will be very happy for you to continue your journey with Adam. Love and Hugs.

Theosgma, the service you are planning for your mom is bringing me to tears, but they're tears brought on by the beauty and appropriateness of how you are choosing to honor her life. The atoms that we are made of have been here since the birth of the universe and will always be here in one form or another and your ceremony reflects that truth.

You jump and scream and sing there for me, you hear?!?!  )  PS/// My baby brother got a job in New York!!! (major squeeee!) A two year contract. He's going there on Sept 1st. He'll be working in Manhattan! I still can't believe it. He may send me a ticket to visit him. I may ask for a ticket around the time of an Adam concert. (he's got an album to release, right??!?) I may fly in a plane/leave the continent/see NY for the first time ever. I may speak English with native speakers for the first time ever. BUT, most importantly, I MAY GO TO ADAM'S CONCERT! Lots of firsts to kill:) But hush, I don't want to jinx it  GAAAAH ALEKS , CAN U FIT ME IN ONE OF YOUR SUITCASES ? Just say I'm a sex doll or smthng I don't care  Of course! But I'm taking you as my kitten:))) I hope your cat won't be jealous:) |

Theosgma, this is the most beautifully written passage. I absolutely loved how you expressed the five elements...lovely. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My very lovely mom wisely chose the day of maximum light. the summer solstice, to make her journey into the light. She left so very softly and peacefully yesterday morning. I am following her wishes and bringing her to the Virgin River near Cathedral Rock in Sedona, AZ for her union with all the five elements. Fire will be the candles we float down the river for her and the blaze of the Sedona sun as it rises through the dramatic columns of Cathedral rock. The earth is the amazing rocks and monuments of Sedona. Water is the beautiful river itself with some augment from our tears. Air will be the inevitable freshness and breeze that comes at sunrise which is so early this time of year. And space will be the eternal reality that encloses us all.
