And nice to have stage crew talk about vibe of joy on this tour. Yes!! I loved that part of Nick's blog! Nick, BTW, is how I got my iHeart ticket! So, he has a special place in my heart!

AND I also agree with melliemom - it shouldn't bother you guys anyways. QAL is happening and it's going mostly well and he is winning some new fans so just enjoy! LOL talon. "Mostly well"? Careful, don't strain your enthusiasm muscles there, buddy. I know it's early days yet, but if an essentially sold out tour, adoring audiences, happy fans, happy crew, gorgeous visuals, glowing reviews, and a blatantly good time had by all is "mostly well," I'd like to see what an out-and-out success looks like, heh heh! Aside from a few small-bore technically glitches as they work out the early-tour kinks, I'd say this must have exceeded their most optimistic expectations so far. And the fellas seem genuinely proud of our Adam. I'm very very happy for them all. (And for us all, too . I hope you have a blast at your shows, T!) But yeah, I agree with both you and Mellie . By the way, just curious (not trying to stir, here), but would your "pure Queen" tour be allowed to include, say, Neil? Rufus (I've seen him get some flack on the Queen sites)? (I guess spike is OK because he overlapped with Freddie for a long time.) How "pure" are we talking here? (ps--seoulmate hahaha ILU, )

I'm enjoying the Queen + Adam setlist, but my wish would be for them to surprise us with random songs included from city to city. For example, one show they could add March of the Black Queen somewhere in the set. Next show, Play the Game. Next show, Lily of the Valley. Etc. Would be a nice treat, but I know it would require probably too much prep/practice, but maybe not, since they are such pros.

I had to log-in to say the following. I have heard from a reliable source that many people are coming to Saddledome in Calgary to see mostly Adam. Apparently, he had made tons of casual fans during idol because he hasn't been played here since the WWFM era. Would Queen play a two-hour show with a random (to me) guy in Calgary, or Edmonton, or Winnipeg, or even Saskatoon? I highly doubt it. I am almost unconscious from the anticipation of my two "glam rock spectacles" this week and after playing non-stop videos since Thursday so please excuse my a bit rude intrusion. Cheers!

I have a new comp and I'm starting to suspect that this is the reason. Send a PM to Q3 she might have some ideas. Only other thing I can think of is a browser issue Big thank you to everyone who are trying to help me When I want to login I've got this message "We could not find a forum account with that username. Be sure you are entering your forum *username*, not your account's display name." (I'm using my username) and then I can only login by using "Forgot your password?" function.

Talon......Who in your opinion would these Queen fans consider more worthy then Adam to tour with the remaining members of Queen? Just curious. My impression from reading on that Queen site is that most of the members would rather have any singer in the whole world who is not named Adam Lambert. I think much of their Adam hate comes from their fear that some Queen fans will actually like Adam, as if that would take anything away from Freddie. Like, if we tear down Adam Lambert, Freddie will be elavated. It's juvenile thinking to me, but reading such hatred of Adam made me sad. First for fotm - NOW who's generalizing I don't agree with that assumption. I think they don't like that he's American, that he comes from reality TV, and they don't like some very OTT Glamberts who push them down their throats. IT's a bad combination of all 3. Not saying it's right, but I don't think it's a fear thing....I truly don't/ As for who else. There would be names that they would be interested in. Tom Chaplin from Keane (who did a unanimously praised rendition of It's A Hard Life): George Michael would be somewhat liked (not by me mind you) Muse's Matt Bellamy would be well liked, I think. BUT I think a Brian/Roger show by themselves would be most well accepted by the fanbase. That would be my first wish too...and I do like Adam quite a bit and am happy to see them together! BUT for me a B&R show would be phenomenal - as it's the most purely Queen I could get. Thanks, Talon.....all great singers but for me personally Adam's voice touches me where as the others I simply enjoy but the magic doesn't happen. Each to his or her own.

"To be fair it's not that they want them to retire. They want them to continue working on archival releases, new solo music, new music together, or touring with someone they consider more worthy...Not much different in your eyes perhaps, but subtly different " Perhaps the slightly more reasonable feel that way, but I have seen comments (unavoidable on You Tubes) that DO believe Queen died with Freddie and Brian and Roger are money grubbing old men! << Ya, I actually read that! One of the funniest comments I read on a You Tube was, "This is nothing more than a money grubbing scheme to appeal to and sell their music to a new younger audience!" I thought, OK, and the problem with that is what, exactly?! LOL!! I'm a few pages behind so maybe a day late and a dollar short, as they say, but... Have any of these naysayers said who exactly is more worthy? I don't recall seeing any suggestions for who they'd rather have. I'm trying to avoid the negativity, but from the comments from "purists" that I've seen, if Adam does anything (e.g. KILLER queen), it's "too campy" (really?? Freddie never did anything campy??); if he plays it straight and flat-out slays a ballad, he's not moving around enough. Can't f-ING win! So who would these people rather see take on the lead singer role? (This is sort of a rhetorical question, not meant to bring down the tone, just venting!) I mentioned it a few pages back and got an assist but the short list would be: Marc Martel (can't believe I forgot) Tom Chaplin (from Keane - check out him with B&R on YT doing It's A Hard Life (although I found my first two dissenters of that here ) Matt Bellamy (of Muse) George Michael (from one good performance - I don't even get that one) MY choice is...Brian May and Roger Taylor - only because it's more purely Queen...BUT I Love QAL too so no worries! (I guess spike is OK because he overlapped with Freddie for a long time.) How "pure" are we talking here? (ps--seoulmate hahaha ILU, ) Ok it's going pretty darn well! As far as pure Queen goes - Spike would be allowed definitely. Neil would be allowed as they need a bassist and Brian can't do both at once. For me, I'd absolutely let Rufus on board - it's a nice connection And if they had an occasional guest singer I wouldn't mind, but the majority would be B&R. Again though that's me and I have NO problem with AL fronting them for a tour - I'm glad they are sincerely enjoying themselves...they are definitely having a blast!

And I completely agree with that assessment. That's how I am with Freddie! And to a certain level Roger...I know he's not the most proficient singer, but I *LOVE* his backing vocals and he usually does lead pretty well too...a lot of character in his voice...
