I don't care how many times you have seen Adam perform before, you MUST, if at all possible, see him on this tour. You've never seen and heard Adam like this. I would swear, in preparation for this concert, Adam went back to school and got a doctorate in voice. I didn't think it was possible, but his voice is significantly better than I have ever heard him before. His tone is richer, fuller,and warmer, his technique stronger, his control even more refined. This music challenges him like nothing else he has performed up til now, and he has triumphed with it. Go see it. (Would it be too irrational for me to take out a second mortgage in order to see it once or twice more?)
And, note to the universe: A concert DVD is an absolute necessity. Like air to breathe and water to drink. (Or champagne in this case).

Back with some highlights from iHeart and Chicago concerts:
IHeart - most of the attendees were Queen fans but from the response in the audience they definitely became Adam converts.
Rufus could use some styling help with his hair. He's going to be as good as his Dad.
After the concert Adam's friends trickled out the front door for up to an hour after the concert. Of the ones I recognized - Molinari, Dadbert and friend, Mombert and friend (Mom had the shortest skirt of the evening), Sauli (got a pic with him), Tommy (got a pic with him), and several other pre-Idol friends.
Several of his friends parked in the Mexican restaurant's parking lot directly across from the front door. Tommy told us he lived only a few blocks away.
After a steady procession of watching his friends leave, those of us who stayed around were told that Adam left by a rear gate within the last 15 minutes.
That was believable because I think he stayed and held court with his friends for about an hour after the concert. He may have even tried on his leopard suit for them.
Making contact with Adam after the QAL concerts will almost be impossible because he is whisked away almost immediately. If you're lucky enough to be in the same hotel, and you're not screaming, Adam may make himself available. Queen is protecting him.
CHICAGO CONCERT:
Marquee in front of arena not only scrolled Queen + Adam Lambert but also had ADAM LAMBERT + QUEEN in two different locations. Got a pic of it but am not tech savvy to bring it here.
The floor stood through the whole concert but the rest of the arena stood during Adam's parts and sat down when he wasn't on. There was a lot of excitement when he could be seen re-entering.
Back to RL - got to keep hubby happy. Looking forward to LA concert next week.
My cousin wants to go to LA concert but I NEED A TICKET FOR LA for her. PM me if you have one for sale.

For those looking for a download of the Official SCC vid, it is downloadable from devenlane's blog site. Go to: devenlane.blogspot.com/Scroll down till you get to the Winnipeg section and click on "DOWNLOAD FOLDER". You will get redirected to another site. From there click on the "Official" folder. Then right click on the version(s) you want (360p, 720p, 1080p) and select "Download" from the popup menu. The mp4 (mpg) file will be downloaded to your Downloads folder on Windows. The version with "tera" in the name is 1080p but with better audio (twice the audio bit rate) than the other 1080p version. If you have trouble downloading in one browser, try a different browser. Q3, if you want to move this to a member's only section, fine with me. Thanks dancygeorgia. I swear I looked I there yesterday and didn't see it. I must be losing my mind. But I have the video safely stored on my computer now and so can lose it (my mind that is) to an Adam accompaniment. All's good.  |
