Seoulmate,
What was the deal with peeps going in and during the MIDDLE of a song!?!? We had the same problem. Pissed me off too. Your hearing must be damaged because the lady next to me sang at the top of her lungs and I heard every fucking note. :/
In the future, go for lower level seats rather than floor. We probably had seats in the same price bracket (no VIP) but because of the tiering, I could see around heads fine. Even with all the buttheads, I'm still so happy I went, QAL is magical

seoulmate - Thank you for the wonderful and awful recap (wonderful for me, awful for you ). I can't believe you were interrupted so often. Maybe they should institute a mandatory policy of handing out depends at every concert. Glad you got to hear The Voice though, and watch the pretty lights.

When did he take the fringed sleeves off. Was it hotter then usual or was there a costume malfunction? Maybe the fringe was getting in the way up on the couch. My only hope is that those wonderful leopard boots make it to Detroit. They've always been a favorite. I can't believe that I think about seeing them in person. GAL. You'll see him take it off between songs here. I was worried they were going to skip Killer Queen so breathed a sigh of relief that it was only a costume fail.

Fast post before I have to leave the hotel -- Adam seems much more comfortable with his body these days and is much more centered. He's also really happy performing with this group and is shows. Some of the manic energy I have felt from him in past concerts was missing--he's a lot more Zen in his performances, in a way. The energy is there but it is calm energy--does this make sense? Brian May actually had the greatest impact on me--I have wanted to see Queen since the 70's and will always be up for seeing Adam (LOL--to put it mildly), but Brian was beyond amazing. I have never in my life seen or heard anyone play guitar like he does. Wow. No words. And the lasers/light show were incredible! More later! I think he is much more relaxed because he's part of a team, he's not solely responsible for everything like he was in GNT etc, so he can relax.

IN THE MIDDLE OF A SONG. I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE WOULD DO THAT!!!!!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!!??? Re. the hearing issue.... I'm sure my ears are toast. I'm sure I don't have super hearing anymore. But, several times during the concert I tried to say something to Nan, and I was YELLING, and she couldn't hear anything I said. Me: Get ready for this next bit, because Adam does awesome things here.... Nan: Huh? Me: (shouting louder) NEXT SONG!!!! COMING UP!!!! WATCH OVER THERE!!!!! Nan: What? Me: (shrieking into her ear) WATCH THIS NEXT BIT COMING UP!!!! Nan: Huh?

Seoulmate I'm bringing my post over from the main thread. Aww Seoulmate I'm so sorry for your concert experience. My seats were in the first balcony a few rows back in Chicago and I could see great and enjoy the laser light show over the arena. I am short and I knew there was no way I could stand on the floor and see anything. Thanks to Glassam, who I got my seats from, I really was happy with my concert experience. Next time you'll know to sit up a little even if it takes a little away from the 'up close and personal' you get on the floor. You are like me...I don't get to go to many concerts but I know we will see more! ETA: You made me laugh through your whole recap. At least you could look at it with a sense of humor. Please tell us what your lawyer friend said about Adam after the show.

Seoulmate, I was wondering if the folks in the far back floor seats could see well. I had a pretty good seat, high enough to be able to see but not into the nosebleed section. Unfortunately I was by an entrance and there was constant activity. The usher was giving directions to people and what seemed like a nonstop parade to and fro were getting beer and going to the bathroom. They did not seem to notice that Adam was singing his heart out and would head out laughing and talking. It was an awesome show though and that crown really sparkles under the lights. I was with DD, who thought flying would be more relaxing than driving 6 hours. The return trip took about 22 hours as we had to deplane (broken radio) in Vancouver, waited hours to be rerouted and flown to Seattle where they put us in a hotel until we could fly the last 45 minutes to Portland. Adam was worth all the effort, of course. Hoping for an easier trip to Vegas!
