Two shows and I've still not heard "Don't stop me now" - two more to go and I'm hoping I'll hear it live.
Got a last minute ticket on the floor and was seated by a female amazon who was over 6'5" tall and gave a really good ticket to my cousin who has now become an Adam fan. She spent over $140 on concert shirts. It was worth it to bring in another fan.
However, as soon as the concert started, another lady and I got out of our row and worked our way to the front. We ended up on Row 1 of E section because no one was there and stood right under the staircase that is stage left. What a great spot that turned out to be. I could have counted the spots on his leopard shoes if I had wanted to.
The Forum venue was outstanding, they let us in the walkway that surrounds the theater that was shaded and gave us access to the merchandise, drinks, and port-a-potties before opening the doors at 7:00. We could even hear the sound check between 5:00-6:00.
Security was fairly lax except for one guard who was more strict than any of the others.
ADAM WAS ON FIRE FOR THE HOME TOWN SHOW!! In Chicago you could barely make out the first 3 songs but in LA he wasTHE MAN and he took charge. In Chicago he was thinking about doing his mic stand sex slide but thought better of it at the last second. In LA he finally did the sex slide.
His facial expressions are worth the price of admission and they are showing more shots of him on the big screen. They could feature him more and it would improve the concert experience for all. These Queen fans love him. They were all around me and they seemed in awe of his singing and it was powerful tonight. I heard comments at the end, "amazing entertainer", "awesome",, "match made in heaven", "they seem so happy together", and "I'm now a fan" - just to quote a few.
I think he had on different pants for his second change. He's worn them before but the first time for QAL.
WELL I'm tired and I have a long flight back home on a red- eye in about 22 hours.
THIS RANKS AS MY #1 CONCERT OF ALL TIME!
