Here's the "love sucks" moment with Brian and CLTCL (always so much fun) and the Encore Thanks for pointing that suck part out. I heard it on the stream, and had a laugh, but I did not get the "jist" that Adam was quizzing Brian...(no close ups). I thought he was just being "bad on his own". What a riot...he just went with the flow, threw in his quip; that's the way his quick mind works! 4:08.... Adam was being so CONSIDERATE ....leaning out of the way so visually the audience could see Brian pounding on the keys. Yup.... his parents and his mentors guided him well! (It is also the little things...that make him special!)

Yes! This fandom, as nannygoat says, is unbelievable!! Certainly helps when we're 'fanning' over the likes of Brian, Roger, Rufus, Spike, Neil, and ADAM!!!
I'm so happy for Kamar, and Butterknife - and every single person here. I met many of 'us' last nite at the Forum! I swear, it was an ol' fashioned 'Love In' - - - for those of you who remember the Sixties! And now it's onward to Las Vegas. That I find myself - that I've created for myself - this itinerary of awesome leaves me, well, naked in this chair after a soothing (especially to my feet) bath; knowing how I'll remember the moment I searched for descriptive words for this concert odyssey, and how its claimed me.
That I'm naked in this chair and at a loss for words is a good thing.
The photos, streams, and clips tell the story. This is a tour encompassing what 'time' has to offer for the past, present, and future. Being there, up close, feeling the flow of energy, the guitar licks, the voice . . . well, I had to remove my earplugs, because if I were to be destroyed by the pulse of 'In the Lap of the Gods . . . Revisited' I wanted to be taken, fully aware of my willingness to go.
. . . . .
Back to earth.
In the airport, on our way to LA, Didilynn and I met a couple of hard-core Queen fans . . . . tattoos of 'Queen' around their ankles and on their shoulders. Hard-core. They gave us cards and encouraged us to attend the annual Queen convention in August. Saw them again outside the Forum after the concert. They were ecstatic!! "Adam has kept the flame burning", they said. Yet, the Queen fan next to me, as the lights came up and AFL left the stage, said "He's good, but he'll never fill Freddie's shoes"; to which I replied "Adam has his own shoes" . . . . so, Bridgeymah, 'on and on . . . '
Lines were 20-deep (or more!) at the merch venues outside the Forum. I signed up for 26 weeks of the NY Times so I could get a t-shirt for free! Inside, there was a problem . . . apparently, fans bought aisle seats next to the thrust on July 2 for, like, $1000 each . . . when they arrived they found out that two seats had been added to every row next to the thrust just hours before; so their seats were now three spaces from the thrust. This is a big deal! I get it. The poor security guard was waiting for Forum officials to show up when I went by. I feel for everyone there. It just murders the elation and excitement when something like this happens. I have a growing dislike of ticket brokers. Emotionless bastards, dealing with people who come to see Queen and/or Adam, full of emotion.
I was with my family in San Jose, and our seats were much further away than last night. In SJ, I was one of three in our section who stood for the entire concert. The ladies behind me were the 'other two', thankfully. Yet, everyone loved the show! My son, at the end of the row, seemed immobile until BoRhap; afterwards, he had no voice! So, standing up and flailing like me is not the only indication of appreciation or love of the experience. I'm learning.
Adam wore baggy black leather pants last nite. ??? Adam and Brian have different opinions about the word "suck'. <3 Red gloves! Gold gloves! Adam isn't hiding his freckles! He's celebrating gloves! Twirls!!! Every time Adam re-entered the stage a roar went up. Roger was amazing, but he looks tired. Just my take. Rufus is growing in stature.
No one was allowed anywhere near the barriers of the thrust. I think a requirement for Security should be a height limit. No fun when the 6'4" guy is right in front of you.
The orchestration of set-up/removal of chaise, drum sets, guitars, is in itself a work-of-art. Kudos to the 'staff in black' who fine-tune every aspect of this production. They hide, on their knees, or even laying down, doing what they need to do. Precision attention to detail; they could all be clockmakers, in the aforementioned continuum of time and space.
The fog is lifting and I have a plane to catch . . . and I guess it's time to get dressed. My overload of the senses just can't be explained. I need a thesaurus and probably alot more than that! With me, what happens in Vegas will definitely not stay in Vegas. I'll do my best!
Happy 4th of July!
