Nu nu Jerz @nu_jerz 15m At Queen show in Philadelphia, 'new guy' Adam Lambert electrifies crowd: The 'new guy,' as Adam Lambert was re... bit.ly/1nQknMW

The “new guy,” as Adam Lambert was referred to by Queen guitarist Brian May, held his own as the British rock band performed at the Wells Fargo center Wednesday night. The 2009 “American Idol finalist” didn’t pretend to be Freddy Mercury but rather put his own twist on the classic songs. Backed by the powerful playing of original members May and drummer Roger Taylor, who was assisted by his son Rufus on the drums, Lambert came out dressed in leather and sunglasses and belted out “Now I’m Here” and “Stone Cold Crazy.” Lambert’s personality and flamboyancy finally showed in “Killer Queen,” where he sang atop a purple and gold chaise lounge on a mini-stage that extended into the crowd. Midway through the show, May sat down with an acoustic guitar and with the help of Mercury, who appeared on a large oval video screen, sang “Love of My Life.” The show lost some momentum as the band went through a series of bass, drum and guitar solos, but picked back up with “Tie Your Mother Down.” The sold-out crowd stood and clapped along with “Radio Ga Ga” and remained on their feet for “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” They closed the main set with fan favorite “Bohemian Rhapsody” with the crowd roaring as Mercury’s image appeared one last time to sing with Lambert. For the encore, Lambert wore a jeweled crown and leopard suit, urging the crowd to sing along with “We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions.” The band returns to the area Saturday, July 26 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets start at $39.50. For tickets visit Ticketmaster.com

Butterfly, this picture is so funny ... because you can see Dr. Bri's feet which are pointed the same direction as Adam, but cannot see Dr. Bri, it looks like Adam is standing through the sofa with really short legs. HaHa!

OK I have a GREAT and HORRIBLE experience from this Philly show here's how it went down ps disappointed cause my phone died more or less during the show I can't believe how fast the phone battery died.. HERE YOU go I arrive early as I had to meet various fans to pick up tickets. So wandering around checking out the equipment trucks, see the 4 large trailers I assume the crew sleeps in. There were many people so I head over there and peep. Met the Queen fans and a 16 yr old couple who had driven up from Maryland. SHe couldn't tell me enough how much she loved Adam. SHe is the one who waived to Adam and just broke out in tears!!!! Tweeted out the Germany fans (4) one wasn't in the pic. Talk music to them and did say they loved Adam when they saw him w Q in London they are seeing 6 shows here. Funny thing, at 1st the security scooted us away as we saw a black SUV pull up and out comes Neil, Spike and Rufus. Rufus does look like "OLIVE OIL" so CHunkey has tweeted. He is so tall and skinny like a string bean. We shouted and the looked up surprised that fans to shouting to them. Roger arrives has a cape garment hitting his knees. SO I knew Adam would arrive shortly. Brian arrives, screams He does love his fans He looked up and smiled just beaming with you. drum roll….ADAM not a lot of us because it is 3:00 maybe 3:30 pm and someone comes over and escorts the 3 to stand by the front of a van. We could see they were doing photos ops. I tried a pic but this all happens so fast and I had to squeeze the phone in between the bars of the gates the next thing the crew and Brian, roger, Adam all form a circle and you see the hands in like what football players do before a game. root, ROOT < ROOT the cheers and hands up in the sky. ALL getting pepped up. crazy a pep rally lol 3 of the friends arrive early to pick up their tickets but COunselor and her friend are running late since they are driving from Ohio. 15 MINUTES to spare. they make it on time but not too worry as I know the show dozen't start on time continuing ooooh, that's sooooo awesome you were there!! So... this is the GREAT part, right? Cause I don't see anything HORRIBLE here!

SMOKE key notes everyone is cheering and stand up. RIGHT????? the row behind us scream SIT DOWN!!!! WTF we ignored and screamed . They again repeatedly told us to sit down. Mind you everyone in front and to the right of me were all standing as were the floor.
Didn't matter we stood until Adam headed off for the 1st wardrobe change. again they kept saying we want to see the show. I quipped then STAND UP you are at a rock concert! But counselor and KMT moved down to the aisle railing closer to get away. CRAP what a downer. I was in shock I think seats ought to be equipped w rubber mallets to one could hit those nasty people over the head M Fer's!!!!!!

Love Kills was great, and WWTLF had the best sound IMO - the sound people really got it right this time! (or maybe just great video quality - riddle601b way to go!)t The sound was excellent last night - - there was not even distortion up front. Adam was in fine for but Brian was totally in the zone.
My favorite guitar solo so far. I'm gradually working my way through this thread, but I REALLY REALLY NEED TO SEE BRIAN'S SOLO AGAIN!!! (I'll keep clicking on youtube links to see if anyone caught it....)
