So many great recaps from last night. Here are some of my impressions. The curtain failed big time. My first thought was "someone's gonna get hell for this." Adam was more playful, sassy and joyful than I've ever seen him. he was visibly annoyed some one threw panties at him. The energy of Brian and especially Roger was thru the roof! I guess the drinking of the blood is working. My new fav Queen song sung by Adam is ITLOTG revisited. It gives me chills. KQ was so over the top FUN the guy behind me said " he is such a queen! I love him so much." WWTLF was sublime. Again. I'm not sure but it seemed to me that Brian's solo was shorter. Maybe it's just that I've fallen in love with his playing and wanted more. The drum duet between Roger and Rufus is too short. The pride in Roger's face for Rufus was lovely to see. So much more but my brain is still processing so I'll just say this was my fav concert, over Philly and MSG. Also DH was with me at MSG and Izod and he thought the sound was much better at Izod. Could really hear Adam's voice. He loved both shows though. One last thing. I always go through a bit of withdrawal after my last Adam concert. Go figure. |

hi taumbu - great to hear you had a wonderful time. enjoyed meeting/chatting and spending time with you are your spouse in Philly and NYC. plan to do a recap as soon as I get a break from work. I am doing a solo last trip to AC this weekend....

Oh noes, the scandal, an un-autotuned vocal practice session gets leaked and the singer gets dissed worldwide for their lack of.... Oh wait. Adam is not Britney. There's a new FLD for ya it's BLD now. Ooooo. I see what you did there. hahahahahaha All joking aside, this is an example of someone just warming up or humming/singing along rather than legitimately performing the song. The tone and the pitch are still there. The voice still sounds great. He doesn't lose his singing ability when not performing. That is why the "explanation" of the leaked Britney audio is so ridiculous. Cassie, so true. As you know, we classical (and broadway) folks call what he is doing "marking." That means just lightly singing or playing so as to save the voice. Once when Doc Severinson soloed on HeWhoCannot amedet with an orchestra I played in, he marked for the one and only rehearsal we had with him to save his chops. We didn't hear the actual solo part played out loud until the concert. |

toofragile... awesome recap, and my favorite part was about your 81-yr-old mom rocking out and having a fabulous time!! OMG!! That was the BEST THING EVER!!   It almost made me feel kinda weepy with happiness!! Joining in to say how much I enjoyed your recap! I regret that my mom passed away a few years before I discovered Adam on AL because I know she would have LOVED him! She always loved music and dancing. She would have 'gotten Adam' even at the age of 95yrs because she was still dancing and 'the belle of the ball' at that age!  I miss her. So great you could share Adam's magic with your mother. What a fun time for you both!  Guys,  . Adamrocks, I am so sorry for your loss! Loosing mom is the worst thing ever. And I know she would love Adam, because at some point we are THEM, don't we? I am so glad that we rocked with my mom yesterday at the concert. She is absolutely fabulous! Love her to pieces! |
