You guys have got to stop showing all these hot moves. I'm trying to resist. Anyway, I have a couple of questions. Are cameras allowed at these concerts? I don't want to worry about mine getting confiscated. Also, do many people use binoculars? I want to take mine but don't want to look too silly if I'm the only one using them. I also want to say how much we lurkers appreciate this board. I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself when I say this place gives me all the Adam news I need, especially when RL gets in the way so much of the time. I'll give a report on the Texas concerts. I'm rather curious to see what the reaction will be to Adam in such a conservative state. I figure Dallas is probably more conservative than Houston and it looks as though not as many seats were sold in Dallas. I think he will win all those redneck, gun toting, bible thumpers over with his glorious self. Can't wait!! Actually Dallas has a huge gay community, it is the gay mecca of the South. Also, lots of fashion and culture there. The Mayor of Houston is gay. Austin is the music capital of the south, and it is only 3 hours from either Houston or Dallas (well maybe a little further to Dallas). Houston and Dallas both have thriving gay friendly atmospheres, and a lot of those redneck, gun toting bible thumpers are long time Queen fans. Houston I think has sold more seats than Dallas from what I can tell. I promise you, those concerts are going to ROCK HARD, I am so excited!!!!!! Sorry, just had to defend the great state of Texas!
HOUSTON -- A roaring chorus of cheers erupted inside Houston City Hall Wednesday night as the mayor and city council passed a sweeping anti-discrimination ordinance that ignited a passionate debate over the rights of gay and transgendered Houstonians. The hotly contested vote on Mayor Annise Parker’s equal rights ordinance brought an overflowing crowd into the council chambers, where hundreds of citizens signed up to speak out. But the daylong debate apparently didn’t change any council members’ minds and certainly didn’t affect the widely expected outcome, as the mayor’s proposal passed by an 11- 6 margin. “This is not the most important thing I have done or I will do as mayor,” said Parker, who was visibly moved after the ordinance was adopted. “But it is the most personally satisfying and most personally meaningful thing that I will do as mayor.Yes, we will rock hard in Houston!!!!!!

Professional cameras are most probably going to be confiscated at the entrance, but most modern cell phones have HD video recording capabilities (and Sony's Z2 does 4K already, to push their 4K TV sets ). My wife's HTC Raider is a few years old already and still does very good HD videos for home/YT use. So most people just bring their phone well-charged and record with it as needed. In Vancouver, I did not go through any search at the entrance - a first for me! - but this could have been an exception. In most cities, expect a search, esp. in the US. Binoculars - we brought ours and I can tell you that it is 1) a good idea and 2) nobody's gonna look at you anyway when there is QAL on stage so don't worry about looking silly. my 2 cents. Thank you dear sir!!

I actually think that the crowd will be just fine with all of Adam's on stage antics. There is a pretty decent Adam fan base here in our ridiculously red state judging by the shows i have seen at the Winstar Casino. and don't worry about what anyone thinks about those binoculars! I'll have mine for sure!! I don't want to miss that Killer Queen couch moment. I want up close details at the concert. Waiting for vids later just isn't good enough. I can't wait! WAVING WAVING WAVING - too lazy to find the appropriate smiley
Hey Get it Girl!!!!! Are you going to Houston, Dallas, or both? I'll be at both! We need to find eachother!!!!!!

www.theprovince.com/entertainment/music/Queen+still+reigning/9985943/story.html?__federated=1Adam Lambert's range and glam mean Queen still reigning
Queen delivers on all fronts BY STUART DERDEYN, THE PROVINCE JUNE 29, 2014 9:16 AM For all the operatic flourishes, UK dancehall ditties and disco funk-offs, Queen was always about epic arena rockers. The English quartet’s canon is loaded with the crunchy goodness every hard rock act wants. Add in the unparalleled vocal chops of the late Farrokh ”Freddie” Bulsara, a.k.a. Mercury, and it’s no surprise why Queen ranks with the Beatles in all-time sales in the UK and globally. More.. Already posted on the concert thread adamtopia.com/post/511490/thread

That's okay! I'm a Texan too and know all about our great state but I have relatives all over the state in Houston, Dallas and Austin and many are very much the redneck, gun toting, bible thumping types so I see both the conservative and the progressive side of Texas. I live in Louisiana now and it is so very different culturally, but I find it more to my liking as a whole because it's not as crowded and more laid back.
