My husband and I saw Cher in Orlando. Cher is still beautiful and sings all her songs amazingly well. She is 68 and did not bounce around the stage like she probably did 40 years ago. We did enjoy seeing her. I had always wanted to see her in person so I loved everything she did.
Cyndi Lauper on the other hand totally amazed both my husband and me. Cyndi had us all on our feet the whole time she was on the stage. I never realized how good she was in person and what a rockin' voice she had. We loved her and stood, sang, and danced through her whole performance. Cyndi was amazing.
Maybe it is towards the end of the tour and the two gals might have been worn out. Who knows. Personally, I enjoyed the concert and both woman. Cher is still so beautiful and put together for a woman her age. I was glad that we went. It was one of the things on my bucket list.

Glad you had a grand time...in support of the LADIES. My DH and I went years ago to see Cher. It was a short 1 hr concert with many costume changes, and ...lol...it started an hr late, but it was still a very enjoyable show. Just an FYI...The Calgary music critic who used the somewhat warped math analogy that made no sense, and designated a B+ to the QAL concert, really liked Cher, who performed the night before QAL. He thought Cyndey Lauper was in summary, stale dated (he panned her big time.) The critic loved Michael Buble who had been a few days before Cher. My girlfriend got a free ticket to see his show, and loved it. I asked her if he was on pitch throughout. She shook her head and said a soft "no"! At least she was honest. She knows what I value in a singer!!! So as they say, "beauty is (always) in the eye of the beholder"!

I don't know how to do links so I'm copying and pasting from the Vancouver concert thread. It's a bit long, so feel free to scroll. Just know that I had the best time and I'm more in love with Adam than ever. So many of the lyrics of those Queen songs are Adam's story -- what must he think and feel as he sings them!
I'm back home and ready to write my re-cap too! I've been trying to read a few re-caps first and I've got to say, Seoulmate, yours was the funniest and the "awfulest" at the same time. I'm glad you were able to get there, though.
My two companions and I have never seen Adam before, although my cousin saw Queen when they rocked Vancouver in the 70's. We walked over the Cambie St. bridge and arrived at Rogers Arena at 7:00pm to discover a very long lineup. The weather was great and the crowd was happy and once the doors opened, things moved very quickly. None of us had purses and we were inside within ten minutes to find that we were exactly at our section and the washrooms and merchandise were right there. I bought a shirt for myself and a bag for my daughter. We found our seats and sat down to watch the place fill up. Jablea popped up and introduced herself, so that was fun to make a connection with an Atopper from Idaho!
My daughter and I have never been in a venue with so many people and it was interesting looking at the diversity of the crowd and trying to decide who was a Glambert and who was a Queen fan. I saw the dressed up Freddie Mercury that Kryptoman described and he and his Mom were among the first to stand up once the music started. Our section was fun -- stood up and rocked out for the fast bits and sat down for the slower songs. There was a certain amount of going back and forth for beer and bathroom breaks, but not enough to bother me. Everyone around me was into it in a good way.
I am really glad I had the fancy earplugs because the crowd was really loud and appreciative. I couldn't believe I was really and truly seeing Adam and my eyes kept jumping from him on stage to him on the screen. His voice is amazing. When I bought a bottle of water, the server kept the cap for security reasons. So I was standing there holding my open bottle and I realized the water vibrated in it when Adam sang!!! That was an interesting phenomena that no one has mentioned.
I thought it seemed to take a bit for Adam to get going. I wondered if he had been partying after the Cher concert and if he was holding back a bit. He's obviously going to have to pace himself for this tour. The concert is a bit of a blur now because it went by so fast. I noticed that he came back without the fringe to do "Killer Queen" and he seemed to be having a bit of trouble with his sound pack while he was sitting on the couch. He still had fun making fountains though. He made the cutest pout before 'Somebody to Love.' His "Who Wants to Live for Ever" was ethereal. I couldn't see the disco ball and I was so afraid that it wasn't there and then it came out of nowhere and it was so beautiful when Adam touched the beam of light. I really did get goosebumps from that moment! They looked like they were all having so much fun down there and a few times I looked around the audience and enjoyed the lights and the beaming faces. I danced and shouted and clapped and cheered and sang along at appropriate times and I had the bestest time ever. And then I knew it was coming to an end. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was so heartfelt and it was such a beautiful image of Adam under the big screen paying his respects to Freddie. I felt happy and sad all at the same time during the encore. Adam's crown sparkled and they were gone -- off to the towels and the waiting limos. I took my earplugs out to listen to the crowd roar approval.
We were out of there in no time and walked past the roadie busses and joked about sneaking on board with the security woman. I really enjoyed watching the show from the stands to get the whole effect, but it would be so much fun to see another show up close and personal. Maybe another day when Adam is touring with his own music. A girl can dream!!!
