Tonight, Queen and Adam Lambert will bring the big show to LA. And it is gonna be a hot one!

Ticketmaster at 1:00AM Eastern Time 7.3.14 after they released all the tickets, added two rows to the floor and added more obstructed view seats.

IT WILL BE PACKED AND LOUD TONIGHT AT THE FORUM.

If I'm still on the front page, Happy Birthday everyone!

Just wanted to share - my son would kill me.

He got back from a long weekend in SF for Pride Monday night and was uncharacteristically talkative coming off a fun, long weekend - maybe still a little tipsy from the plane ride. I mentioned that he was going to miss a really good concert and that it was getting great reviews. He told me that he knew and that the ~community was changing its stance on AFL. (I just let him talk) He said that the homo's (he can say it, I can't) feel like he has .....(he paused, thinking of the right word) matured. Also, that a very well known writer, mover and shaker in SD gay community wrote something in effect saying "Looks who's all grown up?" about Adam. He also said that this tour with Queen has made the difference. He, (along with my other 2 boys) doesn't really know what to do with my Adam obsession and normally won't talk about it with me, so this was a major admission!!!

Obviously this is just one gay guy's opinion, but he has connections in San Diego, LA and San Francisco with the 30 something crowd. I think it is indicative of a broader change of perception. A VERY POSITIVE CHANGE of perception at that. YMMV but it made my day! This tour with Queen is MAJOR. I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes.

And I'm leaving for the Forum in about 15 hours!!!!!! I can't wait!!! (yes, we're going early because the traffic before a 3 day weekend is a big wild card)

I'm not sure exactly. I'm sure the pure vocal talent is more evident with Queen, but for people that don't follow him the way we do here, it may be the realization that he isn't wearing so much make-up any more. I know that sounds funny, but that came up right after his comment about Queen and he said that the makeup was a problem for a lot of folks. We talked about that a little bit and how the ~community can be hard on their own. Those were my words, he said "hateful" was more like it. LOL We agreed that female diva's got off a lot easier than the gay guys trying to make it.
