Michele @sepiassecret 50m
There are still a LOT of seats available for Atlantic City's Boardwalk show bit.ly/1t2FqzWThis has nothing to do with tonight of course but I hate that this show has not been selling so well. I can only hope that word of mouth precedes it & gets people to buy tickets because they will be missing ONE HELLUVA SHOW! I'm going!! I'm going too; my 2nd show! Hoping after the MSG show, folks will want to come to this one too.

A few days ago I was stupid enough to read comments on some Queen forum (yeah, I know, why would I?). Some troll said something that made me facepalm with all hands I had available. It went like this: "That Lambert guy has a trained Broadway voice. On Broadway, these are a dime a dozen". The implication being that Freddie was "untrained and natural". Then I needed even more palms - "Btw, on Americal Idol everyone can sing in tune. Adam Lambert isn't even in the top ten of AI singers". Anyway, I found it very interesting to listen to Roger in that Freddie documentary describing his voice in the very beginning of Queen as "amplified sheep". Roger then said "but he somehow reigned it in". In other words, Freddie practiced until he sounded good. He wasn't born the greatest frontman that ever lived, he had to work on becoming one. Of course, he had the drive and ambition to "not be a star, but a legend" from the beginning, and god-given talent, but it seems like some of his modern day fans assume that "a natural singer is better than a trained one", so that makes Adam "too polished" and "less gritty and emotionally touching". When Brian and Roger say that Freddie would have liked Adam, I have to think of the documentary by Alfie Boe ("Freddie Saved My Life"). Listen to the story about Freddie's introduction to Montserrat Caballe's voice: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mDqXKQWx_c#t=2168I believe he wanted to be able to sing like that. Despite not having the necessary training, he tried to sing opera because for him, this was the highest, most beautiful form of singing. So when people post on forums putting down Adam for being "too polished", I have to wonder "What would Freddie think if he could hear WWTLF in 2014?" I tend to believe he would have loved it.
I've visited Queen forum sometimes, I find it that some posters are troll. They don't necessarily Queen fans, they maybe music fans, rock music fans but some people are definitely Idol fans. Claimed they don't like Adam and his fans but knows a lot about his Idol journey, his "slump" 2nd albums sales and especially his "older age female" fans. Do these sounds familiar to you? They signed up on the forum right at the time or around MTV EMA. To me they really sound very familiar, like those bitter fans of other idols. Someone pointed out that one of them is from VFTW.. LOL. Though some of them are Queen fans who also watch AI and fans of other idols and definitely don't like Adam. I'm not saying that the person who posted that comment on the Queen forum is not a Queen fans, but these FoOI, what they do is pouring gasoline into a fire.
Not sure why their are still idol fandoms from five years ago tracking site's, where here can I tarnish Adam Lambert's reputation, Matt Guirad for life!! lol. I mean really it's over, it was over when Adam Lambert auditioned, it was over when he changed the entire idea of the show with Mad World. I understand different stroaks, and theirs no rule everyone has to like everyone oor everything, their's a thing called freewill. But acting so butthurt five years later their is still idol fandom wars is riduclous imo. I don't really understand the idea that some think singing is really natural, here me sing and still say that haha. Considering the amount of horrible singers that come on these singing shows, surley people should understand singing naturally is a gift not a common thing. It may nnot be PC to say this, and it may blow some people's bubble. But Adam Lambert was not only the greatest male vocalist ever on Idol, he was the greatest vocalist bar none. IT wasen't just his voice, he was the complete package, he turned idol from a very karoake competition to a show about being an original artist. And I also disagree his voice is dime in a dozen when it comes to broadway, I mean do these people actually do their research, because if your going to put your self out their, at least get your facts straight. Based on reviews and comments from his peers from his broadway days with Val Kilmer e.t.c. Did they ever listin to him killing Brigadoon at 21 was it? Yeah that voice is dime a dozen, genius is often understated, but in Adam's case it is completely misunderstood, and the world particularly the States continuing to deny his talent is becoming a clichie.
