A new twist: diss Brian and Roger but not Adam.... nothing impressed him...poor thing...  I'm gonna need to duck rocks but here goes... with respect to what he says about Bo Rhap and feeling like Adam gets "demoted" during the song. I kind of agree. I totally understand that Queen have long done it that way but hey now you have someone who could take it on. Be live and dangerous Embrace it fully. Give it a whirl. I know some would see it as sacrileidge but so what - some see the whole thing that way so go for it and damn the torpedoes. Freddie gets plenty of love during the show in Roger and Brian's bits. Going to to hide now. For some reason I don't feel "the demotion" there....strange, as I am super sensitive when it comes to Adam... especially the duet part towards the end... if anything it makes them "equal"... perhaps it's just me, because I LOVE when Adam comes back in, to me his voice is so much more beautiful, and when they sing side by side my preference is confirmed every single time... haha....talking about hiding....I'll have to burry myself now... |

Thanks Butterknife for lasts nights glorious stream! Watching the youtubes today made me realize that the visuals when Adam performs only come second to the audio. So I'm thinking about purchasing a pair of binoculars but have never managed to use a telescope, 3D glasses or binoculars since I started wearing bifocals over ten years ago. Do you take off your glasses and just use the binocular magnification? Does anyone know? My dad, wildlife photographer, usually takes his glasses off for binocs, telescopes and cameras. 3D glasses would go over. If you are thinking of getting binocs for the concert I wouldn't bother. I had a pair hanging around my neck the entire time and never felt like I needed. The video screens are stunning. Thanks Jablea, I'll just watch the screens then. |

Adam is an extraordinary singer but he cannot sound like the 180 voice overdub on the album. How would they produce the operatic chorus live? Interestingly, the one criticism my musician sister had of the concert was that she missed the rich vocal harmonies she was used to on the studio tracks of some of the songs. She thought they should have had backing singers with the band. Not suggesting they could recreate the record, but then they also don't on plenty of other songs. Get a men's chorus in there to give it some richness and live dangerously - I have no doubt it would be glorious. A men's chorus live every show? What the hell! Let's do it! |
