Hi guys!!  Delurking for a bit tonight. Sorry I haven't been too vocal lately. RL has been kicking butt here. Anyways, I want to thank everyone for the amazing vids and recaps!! Don't know what I would do without you. No show for me, so I have to live it through all your vids, etc. I did try to watch the stream last Thursday, but after a few minutes, it started buffering really bad. Thought it would stop, but nope, just got worse. It was really too late for me to stay up, so I just gave up. Another big TY to all who brought vids. I really, really wanted to catch the LA stream. :( So, I have cleared my cookies & history, rebooted my computer and am praying to the Gods of the Universe that I can watch the one tonight!!! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!! I'm central time, so week nights suck for me. BUT...this is the weekend and I can stay up late!! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!! If anyone has any suggestions to make the stream work betterer, please let me know. I so want to see/hear this show. Vegas would have been my choice to go to if I had been able. Adam & Queen are soooooooo amazing...there are no words. I'm so happy for all of them. You can see the pure joy in all of their faces in every show. So wish I could have caught one. :*( I just couldn't justify maxing out my credit card (cause you have to pay them off, ya know? lol) My only consoling thought is that I do get to go see my son in HI in Nov. for my Bday! YAYAYAYAY!! Bless his heart, he got me a ticket with his miles. And, it will have been over 2 years since I've seen him, too. So, happy & sad at the same time...lol! I'm not quite through all of the LA vids yet, but OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How amazing was that?? Adam was at the top of his game, for sure. Brian & Roger and the rest of the band are having so much fun too!! Well, I've rambled on long enough, as usual. Put some good thoughts out there for me that I can actually get the stream tonight, please? Thanks in advance. When the tour hits the east coast, I can watch those without only getting 3 hrs. of sleep. YAYYYYYYYYY!! |

LOL! Had my new granddaughter over night yesterday and I didn't get much sleep with her eating schedule.lol Now I'm really tired...I should have taken a nap today. I hope I can stay alert for the concert! Awwwwww adamrocks, so much fun!! My foster Gdaughter is 1 now, and such a doll! We hopefully will be adopting her later this year!! So happy for you!! I'm sure once the concert starts, all thoughts of sleep will leave you...lol!! |

I've read all the reviews in the various papers and the responses from the fans (the LA Time's review not so good). That said, I am not really a supporter nor am I a fan of Queen, or Adam Lamert for that matter. I am just a singer and a purist when it comes to the vocal arts and those who approach their musical medium (whether it be rock, opera, or musical theater) with technique, talent and true intent. Having grown up with both opera and Freddie Mercury, I understand what it takes to be that good -- as good as Queen was and is with Adam Lamert singing Queen's music. Hell, even Freddie had difficulties singing the soaring lines when he was not in such great vocal shape. Adam Lambert's voice is well suited to the music that was in Freddie's mind. His vocal facility does not lack in any way the ability to reach what Freddie often could not. It was a pleasure to hear that and I was definitely happy to be in the audience that night, as performances like what I saw are somewhat rare these days. Bravo Queen + Lambert = excellent!
In the world of all technologies where people can manipulate things, this is what people don't realize that QAL shows are like the old days, everything is pure and true and no technology to cover things up or manipulate things. If there's a mishap, people will see and hear it.

Oh man, as much as I love this song, and Brian, I've tried to avoid it. Now I've gone & done it and I'm in tears, once again. I just lost the *love of my life* a few weeks ago. My 17 yr. old kitty, Sasha, had to leave for the Rainbow Bridge and it's truly broken my heart. Such a beautiful, beautiful song. |

I hope I can stay alert for the concert! I'm having to prop my eyelids open, I stayed up all night preparing for a garage sale today. The garage sale was a total bust and now I'm exhausted. This was supposed to pay some of my way to the Houston and Dallas shows, oh well I guess the rent will be late this month LOL! I've already got tics and a hotel room, just have to pay for the renal car! I'm soooo excited!! |
