Claudia mountainflowr 50m Houston! Let's #LightThemUpWithLove #WWTLF #Queen #Queenbert #AdamLambert (use GoodTorch phone app) pic.twitter.com/306u5G9SIV Pls RT
I think this would be phone fun. I have a color flashlight app on my Android and was able to get a yellow striped (ala trespassing) bright pattern on the face of my phone (doesn't use as much power as the torch method which would use the camera flash) Phones are about the only thing that show up from a distance in these big arenas. ETA: I'm not sure that during WWTLF is the best fit though. The lights Queen provides is already magnificent.

Yes, the disco ball and light show pretty much take care of the lights for that song and it is breathtaking!

Hmmm, I disagree, crazyoldgal. Adam Lambert is a solo act. He WAS in a group that consisted of great musicians (Citizen Vein), but there (if you watch one or two performances they did in some bars/clubs) he didn't really SHINE - he looked like just one piece of the machine, he was just another member of the group and (in my opinion) Monte Pittman, the guitarist, looked more like the star of that band, than Adam did. That is what usually happens with bands--the singer is just one part. But, when a singer is somebody with REAL talent, they often leave the band to do the solo thing. Adam made the right choice when he called it quits with Citizen Vein and decided to try and make it on his own. Cause then ALL eyes were on HIM, and he could just explode like the star (the super nova) that he truly is. You have a great sense of humor! Sorry, that ^^ was rude! But your post stunned me! There is No universe where MP was star of that band! Very good guitarists are a dime a dozen in LA. Vocalists and performers of Adam's caliber are not! A great back up band only elevates a great vocalist! Even one who's a solo act! I agree, mys*&@^#rI wonder if it would be difficult for Adam to adapt back down to his original band after sharing the stage with these great, accomplished Queen musicians. I don't think he would be able to truly soar as he does with Brian, Roger, etc. Loyalty to friends is an admirable quality, but IMO Adam needs musicians of his caliber on stage with him.

Let me clarify what I meant to say: I didn't think MP was the star of the band. Adam did a great job as the singer, but he looked like just one of the members of the band. MP looked more like he was leading the band. [Of course, that's my opinion from having seen a couple of videos of their performances. That's just the impression I got, not necessarily the actual truth.] And, I agree that a great back up band elevates the singer. I just didn't realize Adam's band was so terrible, as people here have suggested. I'm kinda surprised to hear that, cause I thought they were doing a fine (if not an outstanding) job.

I think that whomever filmed that Cat club appearance possibly focused more on Monte- maybe it was his wife or another one of their hangers on. Perhaps that focus has skewed your perception of who the star really is/was meant to be?

Well, wasn't that band made up of Monte friends and then he brought in Adam after hooking up with him via Zodiac people? I think that's the point that was being made.

(CNN) -- Adam Lambert has pulled a musical coup on "The Voice." The Maroon 5 frontman has proudly welcomed legend Stevie Nicks to his "team" on the NBC singing reality competition. "#TeamAdam, welcome the incredible Stevie Nicks as your Season 7 advisor!" said a post on "The Voice's" Instagram July 9.

I agree about Adam's current band. I have never been one of those putting them down. I love Ashley! I don't even mind Tommy. My only issues are with Rick. I am not a trained musician but even to me he sounds always off and behind. And Brian's background vocals are really, really bad. But as a keyboardist, I have no problem. I don't think it is fair to compare any of them to Queen or Nile's. But there are many great musicians in LA for Adam to choose from. We know their personalities and chemistry mean a lot to Adam. But I will always use the qualifier on my above opinions, "Adam's band. His choice!" I go for Adam!

Adam needs and deserves a band that does better than "fine" IMO. I hope Adam does a personnel change with the upcoming era and I think he might but we'll see.
