I wonder too? But his guitar did sound quite a bit different on FBG. He was on the Red Special. I don't know, how was his solo? I can see why his personality might mesh with Adam. Perfectionist? For FBG Brian plays a different guitar than his Red Special. That guitar is tuned to the open D tuning required for that number. When he started strumming the guitar the sound was shorting out. No sound coming out of the amplifiers. So, he switched back to the Red Special, and had to tune the bottom string on the fly. If you listen when he starts playing after the switch you can hear the very low string moan down in pitch as he turns the tuner. Why would that have such a huge effect on him, tho'? These kind of glitches occur all the time. He must have been unhappy with other solos. A perfectionist, for sure. With an overwhelmingly boisterous audience cheering loudly, yet he feels he let them down. Whew! That's a lot of pressure on him. It's too bad that he didn't read his tweets.. they would have all been really positive I'm sure! |

Are we still playing the game? Adam can sing but he's no Chip or Dale (or wait a minute, sometimes he does sound like a singing chipmunk! -- but only when a sound system can't keep up!)

It must be true!!! This is a legit station here in Auckland, NZ. Plays softer music - classic hits, but not really rock, so I'm quite surprised that they are the station to announce it! But omfg. I am in total shock right now. I hope they have a second date planned, cos this venue seats about 10,000 people and will sell out in 30 seconds I reckon. I know SO many people who will want to go! The links do not work anymore so my guess is they jumped the gun. I will not post this as news quite yet but I'm betting it will be official soon I have knowledge that this info was leaked by a rival station/network to the actual station/network that is hosting the tour.... that the official announcement is due out next week. Til then all media about it has been pulled. But it IS happening!!!!!!!!!! \o/ But kinda MAD that once again NZ is an "afterthought" and wasn't announced with the Aussie tour. I probably would have still gone to Aussie, (even though it is stretching the budget bigtime) but I do know some people who are only just able to afford to go to Aussie, but as a result of that may not even be able to afford tickets to the show in their home city..... which is insane. |
