I read that recap, but can't remember when/where it was from. I can't help but wonder if Adam might have read it as well, and with a wink, let that F5 rip. What a guy!

Nice review from the Queen fan. Thanks for posting. Glad he qualified his Show Must Go On critique with maybe Adam just "wouldn't" do the high notes. Because we know he has, but not with 24 concerts in 6 weeks! And OFC, Freddie never sang it live, right?!  Why do I let myself get worked up about what other people write? Why do I even read it? I am sure the guy believes and even remembers hearing Freddie sing higher in that song. I played the studio version several times to check MY memory, and D5 is it. Honest. (I thought maybe one E5, but couldn't find it when I replayed it. If I missed it, mea culpa.) Maybe it is sorta like going back to the house you lived in as a little child and thinking "But, I remember the rooms being waaaay bigger than this." Freddie lives larger than life in fans' memories. It is impossible for Adam to measure up to that. lol Cassie. it's ok, he likes Adam, he's a Queen fan Adam is never going to = Freddie for him let alone be >. All we can ask for is that he feels like this  afterwards and he did. I know where D5 maybe is on the keyboard. Yeah it's a D off to the right somewhere. Adam hits things effortlessly and sometimes we think the note is higher because of the effort to get there or because there is a bigger difference from the note right before. |
