This is worth a listen -- the first caller said she does not like Adam, but then said he was good. Definitely a Queen fan show was at the 1981 Montreal show. "Adam did a fantastic job." "A great, great time we had." Then they read a couple comments from online posts. The one con was the show started 50 minutes late. Then they played something from the show -- but not on this clip. I thought the time was changed, though. Like it was for The Forum. Maybe people need to pay attention to things like the venue's official sites and such! The venues for all concerts, not just QAL, need to reconsider their "doors" times. One hour is not enough time to get 10-18K people into an arena and into their seats. Maybe it was before security checks became a way of life, but not now. It should be a 90 mins before show time.

Maybe it was before security checks became a way of life, but not now. It should be a 90 mins before show time. Except that most people don't show up when the doors open. They show up maybe 10 minutes before the start time printed on their ticket. Human nature. I think the 7:30 start time was an acknowledgement of this, and it was never the intention to ACTUALLY start the show until 8:15. The last minute announcement of a time change is to "look good", like they ARE following the schedule, while at the same time, they know that most people will still be showing up for the earlier start time. Therefore, they get most everyone seated for the 8:15 start time.

The lines at "doors" though, for this tour, has shown that many people are showing up for the "doors." Concerts always have a "doors" and a "start time." As far as I'm concerned, people who show up 10 mins before need to get whatever consequences they get. But, just speaking logistically for any concert, 1 hour is not enough time to get that many people into an arena.
Anyway, a 30 min to 45 "late" start is pretty normal! My longest wait has been for Bruce Springsteeen. 70 mins and I was pissed! LOL!
