I have been able to be here very rarely since I got home from LA and LV - came home to some sadness.... i have posted once, in search of a lovely new friend I made in Vegas - a great Adam fan from the UK! I have never known a fan that geographically close to me and had been so thrilled at the thought. Then I lost her details and have been so sad to think she might not find her way here. This morning I have found a PM from her. She's not too hot on posting techniques but before I have to run away again.... bristolgill love to all. X

This tour is more than half done and there are only 7 shows left in the US and Canada. I can hardly believe it. And last night Adam brought the house down at MSG with that force of nature otherwise known as QUEEN. For someone who loves Adam, that is Mount Everest. I feel incredibly privileged to be a witness to what is taking place. I feel like I'm in Aladdin's cave and each day the treasure chest is piled higher and higher with unforgettable gems. It's strange really, it's not just an appreciation of the music or any technicality, or even when Adam soars. it is also the relationship between them. It has been so unexpected, and sometimes it takes my breath away. I simply never expected to see anything other than a truly professional relationship on that stage and instead I'm witnessing a depth of pure joy and inspiration in each other; a relationship characterised by love, generosity of spirit, kindness, playfullness, respect and graciousness, that is then shared with thousands. What is also so totally unexpected for me is my renewed connection to and love of Queen's music. I would describe myself as a 'greatest hits' type of fan (sorry Talon), with a bit of extra sauce. I only saw them live once on their last tour of Australia. I was a pre-teen when I heard my first Queen song, Killer Queen. I knew all the words and would sing at the top of my lungs, obviously having no idea what I was singing about! My sister and I had all their albums and loved them, but I never loved any of their solo projects or had any real interest in them as people, and when Freddie died, it all sort of died for me too. Life moved on and so did I and they metaphorically gathered dust in my consciousness. This tour has brought my love for their music flooding back and a new love for Brian and Roger. I think I am actually seeing them properly for the first time because they were always so overshadowed in my mind by Freddie - and it is a real thrill. My stereo has been blasting Queen music again!! This is the image that says it all for me, so far - it is not the exultation or triumph, it is the tenderness and trust: Here they are a world unto themselves and the audience has to come into them: And here Adam sticks more than his big toe into the water and finds that he doesn't need to be anything other than his beautiful, natural charismatic self:

SophieB happy for you. Nikki, that's great. In honor of Dr May's bday, I just want to include the Live Aid interview. He's so elegant and a diva in his own right, with the shirt down to there and tiny shorts. youtu.be/sf_2OxL24jA
