In the Neil podcast, it sounds like Rufus says at 30:50ish the name of a song they might do in Japan. I can't hear him well enough. Is there a song titled "Take Me Down" or something like that? Just finished...my "transcription" (from what I could make out and it's paraphrased) - Remembering that this interview was backstage at Vancouver. Nick: ....over to Japan and there are certain songs that are usually played... Neil: You know what songs those are (TALON INSERT: Teo Toriatte & maybe I Was Born To Love You) Rufus: (SOMEONE - I THINK he said Adam but it may have been Brian) wants to do Dragon Attack again Nick: Oh really? An exclusive there! Neil: And well I don't know if I can say but he (TALON - talking about whomever Rufus mentioned) really likes Get Down Make Love too, doesn't he? Rufus: Oh yeah... Nick: Oh that would be awesome to play WHat I took from that particular segment: Brian and Roger control the set list. Adam probably has SOME input. The "secondary" band has almost no input. I would say that Get Down Make Love is...unlikely. But if Adam bugs Brian enough than perhaps. I think Dragon Attack is likely to stick around. Thanks for your interpretation. |

My GAWD he looked classy at i-heart!! And he had HAIR, OMG!!!!  AND THOSE PANTS!!!!!  That concert really was a turning point, wasn't it? I don't have the time/energy right now to go back to the QAL vids of 2012, but I think i-heart was the first time where Adam looked like he was... idk how to describe it... maybe like "taking charge" of the ending of the songs. It was the first time where they'd come to the end of a song and Adam would face Roger and snap his arm down to signal THE END!!! Know what I mean? I'm sure Brian, Roger, and Adam worked all this out beforehand, but I remember thinking at the end of CLTCL... WHOA! Adam is kinda doing an HBIC move there and acting way more like a frontman!! Right around 7:17 of this i-heart vid... and again at 22:13 and 31:10... I think that was the first time I'd seen Adam do that! What you said!!!! The top photo is from the iHeart tour preview concert in LA about a month ago. Who knew that he was going to get all costumed up for the tour itself after such a formal look at that show. |

I made my first post over in the concert thread for Mohegan, and was told I should swing over here and introduce myself, so... Hi! *waves*
As I mentioned in the other thread, I went to the show on Friday with a couple of really wonderful people I met at the first Mohegan Sun show, and they recommended this message board as a great place for Adam fans. Since none of my other friends (in Real Life or online) care about Adam at all, I had to check it out. So far, I really like what I've seen!
Anyway, ummmm. I'm bad with intro stuff, and kind of shy online even after so many years, but I'll try.  I can tell you that I discovered Adam Lambert after Idol, which I guess is not the norm for big fans of his? My ex's mom bought his first album right when it came out, hated it, gave it to me, and I instantly fell in love. It was right around a pretty rough point in my life, and his music was basically a port in the storm for me. Serious comfort food for the soul, you know? I never got the chance to see him live until this month, and quite honestly, it was one of the single greatest experiences of my life, getting to see my favorite singer performing some of my all-time favorite songs that I grew up with. Not having people to flail at about it in the days since has been killing me. :
