Videos vanish from YouTube but no need to panic!

Yesterday, many YouTube video owners received “takedown” notices and Queen + Adam Lambert 2014 North American Tour videos began to disappear. It appears to be a content management program instituted by Believe Digital, a UK firm that claims to be digital media experts.

For starters, sending hundreds, probably thousands of YouTube "takedown" notices to core Queen fans and panicking Queen + Adam Lambert fans is NOT SMART DIGITAL CONTENT MANAGEMENT. Morons!

It is clear that Brian was not aware that they were planning to mercilessly rip down all the Q+AL videos.

My belief (having researched this a bit) is that this is a disconnect and will be fixed.

Believe Digital's primary business is promoting independent music. They recently have started a new business push to help artists maximize revenue online -- specifically on YouTube.

Here is a bit more info...and the second bolded bit shows how clueless they were about the import of the Queen + Adam Lambert Tour.


I think I personally spent more money on Q+AL tour tickets than Queen will earn in revenue from all of the Q+AL YouTube videos in the next month. Seriously, I hope that this is one big disconnect.

Brian, Roger, and company -- do the math -- the promotion you get from these fan videos is priceless!!

No matter what happens, the videographers started to make adjustments on YouTube and started planning for other ways to make them available to fans.

But I think there is hope that this will all stop.

Note: Whatever is going on involves Queen content, not Adam content. So all the Adam videos are being left alone.

Brian surprised by takedown

Twitter erupted while Brian and Roger were flying to Korea. But soon after they landed the fan messages let Brian know about it. His response was encouraging.

Hopefully, Brian and Roger will intervene and stop this senseless loss. These video do not harm, they are memories that can be shared and inspire people to want more concerts and more music.

Finally, if they do not relent, I believe that the videos can survive the challenge IF they are not posted for any commercial purpose and if they are part of an active discussion or educational effort. I am certainly game to try.


Adam out in West Hollywood

Adam left Bootsy Bellows on August 9, 2014. He was accompanied by Blake Shankle who is a 20-year old singer and model who has some connections to Adam’s friend Markus Molinari. Blake was born and raised in Mississippi but moved to LA in December 2013. He auditioned for American Idol and X Factor (more info below). Adam started following Blake on Twitter and Instagram on August 7, 2014.

In a bit more than one day, Queen will perform their first concert in Korea. They are, of course, headlining the event. Adam performed in Seoul on February 17, 2013 as part of his “We Are Glamily” Tour.

As to Queen’s first Korean show, Roger Taylor said, “I first visited Seoul on a promotional trip in the early 80’s and was so impressed by the architecture and culture. It will therefore be very exciting to finally play a concert and bring the music of Queen to this great city with Adam Lambert”.

‘I think he’s woken us up’: A resurgent Queen looks ahead to future with Adam Lambert

As Queen’s well-received first-ever world tour with Adam Lambert continues, thoughts turn to what’s ahead. There is, of course, the idea of extended the dates. Brian May has even talked about perhaps recording some new music. Whatever happens, Queen seems to have been borne anew.

“There’s a big call to do more shows now,” May tells Eddie Trunk. “So, there’s a good possibility that we will do more shows. I think, beyond that, we’ll just see.”

That this conversation is being had at all, May says, is a credit to Lambert — the former Idol finalist who’s taken over for Queen’s late frontman Freddie Mercury.

“It’s a great place to be; I feel so fortunate to be going out there,” May adds. “I never thought it would happen again. When Freddie went, I thought: ‘That’s it. We did that. It was a great life. Now, it’s time to have a different life.’ And for years, we didn’t try to be Queen in any way. I would look at the Forum in LA, and I would look at Madison Square Garden, and I would think: ‘Those were the days.’ To come back now, all of these years later, and to fill those places and to hear that noise. That’s vindication for the fact that we should be playing, we should be out there. I feel overcome with it, really.”

Lambert has clearly given remaining Queen members May and Roger Taylor a new lease on their musical life. “I think he’s woken us up — and just in time,” May concludes.

This not real spoiler inspired me to Gleefully PLOT!

I will take Adam on my TV in any shape or form. So if it is Glee, OK with me. (Although I would prefer The Adam Lambert Show!)

In any case, I read the not spoiler that follows and I started to wonder, how could the plot be done to get Adam back on Glee?

The obvious plotlines won't work well. Elliot is not from Ohio. I guess he could become a teacher --- but that is hard because he just started college at NYU a couple years ago. I know Glee is not a historically accurate show but I want to be kind of real.

So here is my plotline…. Ryan Murphy and writing crew, please take note!

The students in the fictitious William McKinley High School glee club are boring and can’t win. The glee club director, club director Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) throws in the towel and gives up. He asks his favorite former student, Rachel Barbra Berry (Lea Michele), to come back to whip these lazy, loser students into shape. He says that Rachel can take over everything – song selection, costumes, choreo….everything. Rachel heads back to McKinley High School with her team: Kurt and Elliott “Starchild” Gilbert. Let the madness ensue! By the end of the final season, the McKinley High School glee club win the National Championship and are covered in gold confetti.



Glee spoilers! Adam Lambert returning for season 6?

Glee is set to come to its natural end at the conclusion of the shorter than usual sixth season next year and Ryan Murphy has already promised fans that he’s got some major surprises up his sleeve.

Over the past five years guest stars on the show have included some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, as well as acclaimed stage performers and major names in the music industry, so we are full expecting the American Horror Story boss to pull out all the stops when it comes to wrapping up his song-filled brainchild.

Murphy has previously confirmed that season 6 of Glee will take us back to the halls of McKinley High, where the story all started, and that we’ll be introduced to five new students as part of the forthcoming storylines.

He’s also reached out to all the original cast members, offering the chance to return if they desire, but what he hasn’t revealed is how many guest stars he’s extended that offer to.




One of the most popular actors and singers to make a cameo on the hit Fox series was American Idol hunk Adam Lambert, who took on the role of Starchild (Elliot) during the most recent series.

In a new interview with Thebacklot.com Adam revealed that he hasn’t yet received a formal offer from show bosses, but it’s clear that he’d jump at the chance to work with Chris Colfer once more.



“I have no idea!,” he admitted. “Technically they were ‘Hey, you’re going to have five episodes’ and we said ‘great, cool’, and then I filmed the five episodes and had an awesome time doing it, so I don’t know.”

We would LOVE to see Lambert back in the cast, however as everyone seems to be packing up and hauling their asses back to Ohio, and Starchild’s an NYC home bird, we’re not sure if Ryan will add his presence to the mix.
