My sister from another mother! Finally someone uttered the heresy out loud. (Sorry, not sorry, too. If Freddie fans can say HE is better, I can state my opinion that Adam is better. Fair is fair.) Glad you can at least admit it's heresy   Opinions are opinions...just like my opinion that y'all are crazy Is this supposed to be a joke? Because it isn't funny. I find it offensive and very rude! |

Awww. I am the one he is talking to, and I don't think it is rude or offensive at all. He made clear he was teasing with the smiley faces. I expected talon to dispute my opinion. If he didn't, they might kick him out of the Freddie fan club. hehehe Of course, he is also correct that I am at least a little crazy when it comes to Adam's voice. Just yesterday, butterknife asked me for names of other singers with really good voices. I drew a blank. I realized that Adam had changed how I listen to other music. BAFL (before Adam Frickin' Lambert) I listened to music I liked, styles I liked, arrangements I liked, shows I liked, and as long as the singing wasn't "bad" I was fine with it. I didn't really follow any particular singer. Now I listen to much of pop and rock and think "Adam would sound much better singing this." And sometimes even, "Ouch! That hurts my brain." Adam's voice at its best makes me CRAZY, just as accused by talon. |

I think it is a joke with a kernel of truth because Talon has lovingly told us many times without an intent to offend that in his mind, though he likes Adam, there is no comparison. He is picking up on the "crazy" theme from the thread of these posts and just stating again that Freddie is the man for him and we are "crazy" in asserting our position. I don't think it is ever his intent to be offensive and rude. We hopefully all know each well enough by now to be playful about the paradox of how much Talon loves Freddie and yet is such a loyal contributor to Atop and big supporter of Adam. However, in discussions like this where we feel very free to say that "Adam is better" and we are entitled to say that, Talon usually expresses his preference pretty clearly as well. Again, I don't think it is ever meant to offend. |

aleks - NEVER meant to offend... Just as you all can't understand when someone doesn't find AL the greatest singer ever...I'm the same way when it comes to Freddie  I simply can't understand someone hearing that voice and ever thinking someone could be better! Of course I very easily accept someone (especially here) doing so, I just literally have a hard time wrapping my head around it...and I know cassie understands the concept - just switch the names! The crazy part was just simply playful teasing. I have no problem with anyone who thinks AL is the best ever or even better than Freddie. Just like I think the majority at least would have no problem with me disagreeing and thinking Freddie is the best ever and greater than Adam. Doesn't mean I don't like or support Adam |

Thank you, everyone, for your kind replies! I understand what you are saying, on linguistic level, but on emotional, not so much. I don't know why, it is very hard for me... There are so many things about this situation that are beyond my comprehension, but I can't talk about it. Believe it or not, I do try not to be rude myself Now I'm sorry I reacted at all... I should have realized it was a joke, it did have a winky smiley after all . |
