Gah. I finally visit the Moon Garden and I can't hear midwifespal's angelic cricket recording. adamtopia.com/post/451484/thread Stupid firewall. Now intrigued. Must listen when I get home. Oh no! Just saw this and went to check and my old link doesn't work. I added a new one that should work, I hope. It really is wonderful and worth a listen. Thanks, Hoppers, for reminding me about it, because I really needed some angelic cricket choirs today! Perfect. (here's the new link, so you don't have to go hunt it down in the moongarden: soundcloud.com/acornavi/jim-wilson-crickets-audio)

Just a couple of comments here -
First of all, I want to thank you, Adamrocks, for finding all the many interesting Adam-related things that you bring over here - You are definitely the "Information Mogul", and I appreciate all your ninja-skills or whatever it takes to find all this stuff.
Secondly, I'd love to see the Moon Garden updated and used again. When I first joined Adamtopia, it was the one place where I felt the most comfortable in expressing some of my own thoughts and experiences. It's a good site.

This was on the ceiling of the MSG Lobby one the night of the concert -- it was very large.

www.4ye.co.uk/2014/08/21/another-day-another-not-so-alsicebucketchallenge-masterpost-part-iii/Another Day, Another (not so) #ALSIceBucketChallenge Masterpost Part IIIBY SARAH GODDARD · AUGUST 21, 2014 Another day, another group of wonderful celebrities putting their fame to good use and getting behind the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. In an unprecedented outpouring of support for this campaign, The ALS Association have reported donations totalling $31.5 million since July 29. This figure includes a staggering $8.6 million raised in one 24 hour period. 24 HOURS! To kick off today’s round up of famous faces dumping iced water over themselves, we have perhaps the greatest one to date. Earlier in the week WWE CEO Vince McMahon nominated The Muppet’s very own Kermit the Frog, and although the shock of pouring such freezing cold water could kill the poor frog, Kermit put his fears aside and stepped up to the challenge. In return he nominated his Muppets Most Wanted co-stars Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell. (It should be noted that Ricky Gervais has already completed the challenge after being previously nominated by Ben Stiller). Adam Lambert

I LOVE THIS ARTICLE. The author recommends that the artists say NO to the NFL, then put together a big concert and sell it to one of the competing networks to run at halftime. It is a brilliant idea. I still do not understand the greed of the NFL. And I really hope no one does this pay to play deal.

www.billboard.com/articles/news/6228943/crossfaith-phoenix-japan-summer-sonicCrossfaith, Phoenix & More Hit Japan's Summer SonicBy Rob Schwartz, Tokyo | August 21, 2014 5:29 PM EDT Ellie Goulding, Arctic Monkeys, Queen with Adam Lambert & more also grace the Tokyo & Osaka stages. Summer Sonic, the biggest music festival in Japan devoted to international repertoire, was held Aug. 16 and 17 simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka. The event has recently seen industry-leading headliners like Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay Z and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and this year the Arctic Monkeys, Robert Plant and Queen with Adam Lambert hit the stage. Ticket sales were down, though it's hard to blame that on the lineup. The other major international music fest in Japan, Fuji Rock Festival, also saw a drop in attendance. For Summer Sonic this year, 105,000 attended the two days at QVC Field and Makuhari Messe near Tokyo, and 60,000 came to the Maishima site for the Osaka edition, for a total of 165,000 people. Billboard estimates this generated 1.8 billion yen ($17.3 mil) revenue in ticket sales. more..
