www.billboard.com/articles/news/6228943/crossfaith-phoenix-japan-summer-sonicCrossfaith, Phoenix & More Hit Japan's Summer SonicBy Rob Schwartz, Tokyo | August 21, 2014 5:29 PM EDT Ellie Goulding, Arctic Monkeys, Queen with Adam Lambert & more also grace the Tokyo & Osaka stages. Summer Sonic, the biggest music festival in Japan devoted to international repertoire, was held Aug. 16 and 17 simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka. The event has recently seen industry-leading headliners like Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay Z and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and this year the Arctic Monkeys, Robert Plant and Queen with Adam Lambert hit the stage. Ticket sales were down, though it's hard to blame that on the lineup. The other major international music fest in Japan, Fuji Rock Festival, also saw a drop in attendance. For Summer Sonic this year, 105,000 attended the two days at QVC Field and Makuhari Messe near Tokyo, and 60,000 came to the Maishima site for the Osaka edition, for a total of 165,000 people. Billboard estimates this generated 1.8 billion yen ($17.3 mil) revenue in ticket sales. more.. Strange.. nothing said about Queen and Adam's set??!

Thanks to all glad u liked my little poem. I have a question is does anyone here write serious poetry and is there a place to post it? We don't have a current place per se. The Moon Garden thread in the Salon section would be a decent place to post poetry but that section of the Forum isn't always terribly traveled these days. If you like, we can ask Q3 for a poetry section, or you can post away in the Moon Garden and just let people know on the News Thread , Thanks .... Not sure if anyone would be interested most of my work is about the problems with humanity and the injustice of inequality . Ever once in a while I write something sweet but most is kinda dark. Perhaps I' may post some in the Moon Garden just in case others enjoy it

Strange.. nothing said about Queen and Adam's set??! They did make the headline and get a mention. Yes that's true, but it would have been nice to read a paragraph about their set like the one for Plant. Speaking of Plant, I wonder if Adam got to meet him..

Hi- do any of you follow this UK fan site -- twitter.com/LambertUK -- has it disbanded, just curious as no activity since June. It was always a good source of UK info.

There seems to be interest in reactivating the Moon Garden. I miss it too. So, if there is anyone interested is being the keeper of a new Moon Garden (that is being the moderator) -- perhaps we should give it a new name, something to do with stars, or Orion, or Moon Palace, or ?, please PM me. What you primarily need to be willing to do is keep it interesting and creative and free. They did make the headline and get a mention. Yes that's true, but it would have been nice to read a paragraph about their set like the one for Plant. Speaking of Plant, I wonder if Adam got to meet him.. I agree. Perhaps the writer did not see them perform. He was at the festival, but they have multiple stages and people have to choose who to see. I do not think that Adam and Robert Plant were in the same place at the same time. Q+AL was on the B Line-up Osaka, Tokyo, and Robert Plant was on the A Line-up Tokyo, Osaka.

Hi- do any of you follow this UK fan site -- twitter.com/LambertUK -- has it disbanded, just curious as no activity since June. It was always a good source of UK info. The site is still up but is a ghost town....http://www.adamlambertuk.com/ It is sad because it was started in 2010 -- so a longtime site. But thelambrits.co.uk/blog2/ is still active and is a very good source of news.
