Praise and accolades for Adam for sure
And Brian.. Roger, Spike, Neil.. and Rufus.. and all the crew. . As we all have to admit it that Adam is even better now because he plays with these two legends and world class musicians. Just to show to have great musicians to back him up is very important to Adam's live performance.
Yeah, now that he's seen the world of private jets, personal assistants, etc, not to mention being with and performing with the cream of the rock world, talent personified, be kinda hard to go back to before all this. Adam is with people whose talent level matches his and Queen is known for being absolutely mad about being as close to perfection as they can get. At Live Aid, Queen was the only band that rented rehearsal space for a week to groom and perfect their sound, not to mention having their own sound man adjust the monitors. After this tour, when Adam is preparing to put his product out, he's going to want the same level of musicianship and talent backing him up. He'll be able to afford the best of the best and his music will be the best, I'm sure. Adam only needs that one hit record.

For several years now we've said Adam is the greatest singer - how can he get any better - but he does. My question: Is the same thing happening with Brian? Either I'm becoming more appreciative, or his riffs/improvisations are getting better as well. I listened to the Perth Dragon Attack, and for someone who supposedly doesn't care for that song, he killed it. I'm sure lots of folks (if they knew) would think us a bit to want to hear every song from every concert, but there are gems along the way that happen just once. And I appreciate people here mentioning them. And the fact there is a list somewhere of the things that just happen once! (Have I said lately that I LOVE this place?) ITA about Brian. I honestly think he has gotten better over the course of this tour -- as the rust has fallen away. I also am said that none of the reviewers have realized the trance quality of Brian's solo. Perhaps it is something that is best appreciated by people who experienced the late 60's - 70's and understand the importance of these long guitar solos related to the overall rock experience. Perhaps if they added a trance lightshow they would get it? youtu.be/xDjZ38elM44Forget about the beat -- what I mean is a more complex laser accompaniment.

You know, this is the only complaint I have about Adam - I don't have time to listen to all this songs, I don't have time to watch all videos, I don't have place to storage them - but I listen, watch and storage and then I have 20 versions of this song and 15 videos of another, and I'm spending far to much time on YouTube because he is doing songs another way every time and he is better with every concert. It is pure desperation now! I sometimes love and hate him at the same time

With Queen putting out the new album "Queen Forever"? I wonder if Adam will do any of the vocals on the album? Queen Forever is a collection of "lost tracks"- meaning previously unreleased QUEEN material featuring both Freddie and John, plus perhaps one Michael Jackson collab. Nothing whatsoever to do with Adam, unless by some stretch of the imagination they throw in "Love Kills" featuring him. I seriously doubt that will happen, but never say never, I guess.

My DH and I were discussing this and we both feel that this tour has accomplished the impossible - Adam is seen as a potent and charismatic front man but very likable, charming and gracious. That is extremely important. He has not stepped into Freddie's shoes with ego and narcissism. He was oh so brilliant to give the props to Freddie as his inspiration and talk about how much he loved him and how honored he is to sing with rock royalty. The crowd roars approval when he does that and f*** the critics who think he is too obsequious by doing that. It worked. It was pure genius. They rallied to him and the chemistry changes in the crowd from good to amazing. If there is a next time around, we think the mantra will be different. Adam will be established as the new look of Queen and it will be more celebrated and comfortable.
IMO, some critics have seen him as the new look of Queen. His young and contemporary energy already gives that new feel of Queen.
I've always been on the other side of the fence when people are talking about Queen making music with Adam. I don't against it, but I don't want it to be a new Queen music. If they are to collaborate to make new music I'd prefer these new music in Adam's album rather than new Queen music. It would be interested what's new sound that Brian can make if he decides to sit with Adam to make new music... the classic/metal rock musician to collaborate with the young contemporary one.
If they do any new music together, seems like there are two likely possibilities: 1. Adam album track with Brian May guitar feature -- like Lady Gaga did. 2. Adam + Brian + Roger do something together and release it under the Queen + Adam Lambert ID. Similar to what they did with Paul Rodgers. What I think is almost certain, they will release a live DVD/CD of this concert tour under the Queen + Adam Lambert ID just like the tour. ** Adam described A3 and Queen as side by side projects -- and I think that was a thoughtful comment. While he said the Queen experience inspired him to revisit his rock 'n roll roots, I think we can be sure that he will continue to be his own man. I also am sure that there will be some funk and current beats on A3. Adam is a smart man, he has excellent management, he will release a pop, not rock album. I think it will be "future pop and cool funk" -- blue-eyed funk.

ITA -- I think there will never be a recording with Adam on vocals released under the plain Queen name. They wisely came up with the + idea and it works well for Queen. Also, Adam is a star in his own right and there is no benefit to him of being a Queen studio session singer -- credit in small print. Finally, Q+AL seems to be a very strong brand for marketing.

It would at least be a starting point and I could then add or delete if I wanted another particular song. Of course a pro dvd by QAL would be pretty wonderful as well. For the first time I have set up folders of playlists and YouTube channels so I can go back to them. Hoping to make my own playlists from these, but won't have time to do that for awhile. And, of course, the archives here are a wonderful resource. I know some of this stuff disappears, so want to do it before that happens. I want new music from Adam, but with everything that is out there now, I'm sure not complaining. The great little exercise that Q3 led us through w/AI songs reminded me of some things I hadn't listened to for a long time. When it comes to Adam music we truly have an embarrassment of riches!

Well, good luck with that! I still have bookmarked folders of videos and playlists from the Idol Tour awaiting organization. I missed out on getting that done because I was all up in Glam Nation videos and folders, and I never got those organized because of Trespassing era goodies. Then I never got to those because of QAL, and I suspect I'll never get to these because of Era 3. Embarrassment of riches, indeed!

I plan to suggest that when the tour is over (or at least there is a hiatus in the fall) that we come up with two or three "super" playlists composed of the best version of each song. Or at least we have everyone's opinion of the top 3 or so versions of each song and we can make our own playlists from there. I will put that request in more "formally" when the time comes.
