hmmm... all relative, yes? Let's assume he is making in the $10 mil ballpark...half goes to various taxes (roughly)... would $5 mil make him "independent"? Only if he promised never to buy another jacket. I guess financial independence is how much one needs and how they live.. Can I take back my question about financial independence??LOL

Adam is 32 years old, he appears to like to work, one consistent thing he said he wanted is longevity. The way he is managing his career, taking care of himself and his voice, he seems headed for a long, prosperous career.
So I hope he can put away some money from this very good year -- Glee, Queen, recording advance from his new label, a few one-off events, AT&T sponsorship, royalties, merchandise sales, etc.
And I hope he has a good 20+ more years to entertain us. And if we are really lucky, he will be still singing and dancing when he is 67 -- like Brian.
ETA: Melli, can I revised your question to my hope that he has enough credibility banked now to have creative independence. (And having some money in the bank makes it a lot easier to take risks.)

Only if he promised never to buy another jacket. Or boots - now if he needs to replenish the skintight leathers, that's a bit different. Essentials are essential, after all.

LAMBERTLUST @lambertlust 37s Queen + Adam Lambert on Today Australia: youtu.be/fhB2MKQOHAk via @youtube
I watched the interview again and I just love his wicked sense of humor. To respond to the question that he has a big shoes to fill, Adam responded was.. that's why I brought that big shoes.. aka that shoes he's wearing for Killer Queen.
