Spoiler Alert: Does Adam Lambert Live Up To Freddie Mercury’s Legacy?Performing on 22nd August 2014 @ Perth Arena It’s been a massive 29 years since Queen last hit the shores of Australia, and despite sadly missing the group’s arguably most well known member, with guest frontman Adam Lambert, they are as big a rock force as ever. With anticipation at fever pitch, Queen opened the night, and the first leg of their Australian tour, with 1974 smash hit ‘Now I’m Here’. The backdrop of the stage an enormous Q, Adam Lambert sporting a fabulous golden microphone, and the rest of the band going full speed from note one. They are a testament to artists who don’t rest on their laurels: they’re not ageing superstars out for another buck, they’re doing it for the love of the art and for the memory of their late friend. Ever since the passing of Freddie Mercury, the band have never sought to replace him, only to pay tribute to him, and Lambert immediately blew the crowd away with his homage. He’s got the head tosses, the hip thrusts, the model’s stalk and the outfits – and does he ever have the voice. It’s impossible to try to compare anybody to the great – the greatest, even – Mercury, but if anybody can, Lambert is the man. IMHO do I dare say it.. I think Adam is better vocally

Pretty androgynous elf but so young. Believe it or not, he is 22! Came to fame on OZ Idol in 2008! He is a cutie! www.atsunsetmusic.com/Whew, that's a relief.

Have we heard this soundcloud interview in a Australian radio station with the Aus. Pres of the Queen fan club? Long but they talk about QAL and a Queen fan snub at the airport. You have to skip some parts to get back to the QAL stuff. Marianne @mimmikki 10h Queen fan club Aus. WOW retoad the rest of this...They are basically saying Adam is as good as Freddie.. IMHO do I dare say it.. VnI think Adam is better vocally Yes..yes...yes....that was great...I think that was my FAVOURITE review... Mmmm yes Freddie is a legend, but i think techniquley Adam is a supeior vocalist. His low-high range is better. Considering Adams lvl of talent is at Freddies lvl imo. It comes down to taste and preference. Either you prefer Freddies grity tone and resonance. Or Adams Light, Etheral, operatic tenor trained voice. Adam can be gritty you just have to look at some of his gnt performances to know that. I just dont think it comes naturally for him. Most of the "hes no Freddie" comes from a pc society. Its like gravity, things that are reliable. Partic when it comes to music, ppl just presume its ludricous to even suggest anyone holds a candel partic today in a very manufactured music world, to legends like Elvis, Mj, Freddie etc. But if thats the attitude music well never evolve. Whos to say Adam, Gaga, Perry etc. Are future legends. Are ppl thirty years later gonna go "oh h es no Adam Lambert " ?. Its a generational thing, jsmostly, but when you think alot of purists have been wan over most of the ppl anti Qal, you know Freddy world be rolling in their graves types. Are not true fans, other portion just cannot accept change. Funny because Queen have had eleven lead singers since Freddie died. I dont know about how Rodgers was received comparitively, but im presuming th e comparisons werent the same. No ones b een comparing Freddie to anyone in 23 yrs not like this anyway. Until Adam kinda says it all, he challenges ppl, and some find that polarizing and unsetlling. The other side who are open minded, are loving how Adams reinvented Queen, and giving them a vechicle to perform like they used to in their prime. But Brian and Roger say Freddie would be okay with this, why anyone thinks he would of wanted his music collecting dust is beyond me, he would love in 2014 a new audience are getting introuduced to his new music, and tbh thats all that matters.

For those of you who are having problems with the Mega download link, here is a MediaFire link. If you can get to the Mega download link (I have no problem getting to it) that is the easier link to use. If you use the MediaFire link, be careful as it is the free account with lots of ads and if you click in the wrong place you will download unwanted software to your PC. Meag: tinyurl.com/lerw345MediaFire: www.mediafire.com/folder/gf9685rweh8z8//IZODThanks. I can deal with the MediaFire downloads just fine. However, they are FLAC files, which I can't seem to deal with unless I purchase software to convert them to something for iTunes. Do you know if there are other file types around to download? Opps, sorry, I uploaded the original lower volume FLAC files. I was in a hurry to leave to get to a party. At the MediaFire link above you will now find 2 folders, one for FLAC files and one for M4A Apple Lossless files. The max volume M4A files are uploaded and I am currently re-uploading the FLAC files with the max volume instead of the lower volume. The "2" at the end of the file name means that it is at the new max volume level. Any files with a "1" at the end of the file name may be the original lower volume. The FLAC files may take another 90 minutes to finish uploading.
