Queen with Adam Lambert.
Queen with Adam Lambert, Vector Arena, Wednesday I never was the world's biggest Queen fan. They had become a pop jukebox -- "Flash! Aaaaa-aaah" -- about the time I started taking this rock music stuff seriously as a teenager. Also, I usually take cynical delight in assessing veteran touring bands who aren't quite the band they once were. But I'm oddly excited about seeing Queen with Freddie Mercury ring-in Adam Lambert at Vector next week (they play Thursday too). Maybe it's the enduring pompous glory of songs like Somebody to Love which keep getting the X-Factor and Idol treatment. Maybe it's the chance to join in a community singalong of Bohemian Rhapsody, a song I seem to know every word to. And maybe it's the chance to see Doctor Brian May pull one of those classic solos on the guitar his Dad made him when he was a teenager. Altogether now: "Scaramouche! Scaramouche!"

Well I really need to go to bed. I was so tired getting up two days at 4:30am for concerts and going to bed really late that I was exhausted so I'll try to get to bed earlier before my 4:30am rise for the concert. ONLY for Adam would I do this! DAY-UM just looked at the clock it's 12:00am here!  Nite! |

I have seen GaGa in concert and she is amazing, l love her very talented lady. The thing I thought about when I heard the video is how much different things sound in person. I think the whole thing was suppose to be fun, not a polished earthshattering performance. Gaga got to sing with Queen, Adam got to sing with GaGa...what could go wrong?Well...then good old humanity took over got there scalpels out and stated to dissect .... What a shame :( I'm sorry that Adam had to remind some fans how to behave, when if they just followed his lead the world would be a much nicer place .  |

I know some have personal issues with anyone being on stage with Adam and Queen, and Gaga. But i think some are being selfish. This was never meant to be a pollished performance, as it wasent rehearsed. But a great moment. That all fans and the public clearly loved. It was a win win for all parties involved, may have only been one song, and whether or not you like Gaga or not, or she is big as she is? Or anyone deserves to be on the same stage as Adam which is ridiclous. Just look at the publicity, media exposure this has garned. This is exactly what Adam diddnt have last era, especially seeing This performance went viral. Im not saying anyone or everyones being selfish, and not seeing all perspectives. Just that Adam wouldent want his fans acting like this, acting as entitled as Freddie purists do with the whole "Adams not Freddie". |
