A little OT but this one is for you Q3. My massage lady loves music and goes to these funky little places in Delray Beach FL. well known and loved by musicians. A few weeks ago she was there and in walks Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. They did a 45 minute jam - unannounced and free with the cover. Can you imagine? She was hoping to see Queen walk one night. Told her I didn't think so. A few weeks ago? That's a bit hard to believe considering they've been sniping at each other a LOT recently and Plant seemingly has no desire to do Zep stuff right now.... Not possible -- but a very nice story. All I can find online is that Jimmy Page was not interested in performing at the Delrey Garlic Festival. I actually think it is not out of the questions for Adam to do something with Jimmy Page. Robert Plant (age 66) can no long sing most of Led Zeppeline's songs -- he has moved on and his new music is pretty good. And Jimmy Page can still play it. Oddly, if Freddie was alive today, he would be 67 years old and I really doubt he could sing most of the songs he wrote in the 70's and 80's. He probably would have moved on to work on other kinds of music project like Robert Plant did. Most classic rock era heavy rock vocalists damaged their vocal chords with the singing style and had no ear protections so how have hearing aids and/or implants. People are more careful now and the 90's and 21st century rock singers will have a better fate. I find the quality of Freddie's live vocals in 1984-1986 astounding. They were some of his best vocal performances and happened after the 1978-1984 period where he struggle with vocal issues. Those last two years were a gift to him and to Queen fans. Some classic rock fans want Adam to shred his voice in performances, I am so glad he does not. It just rips up your vocal chords. He is smart and he really takes care of his voice. Can you imagine Freddie or Plant with throat coat tea and honey on stage with them? Not bloody likely. For Freddie, it was vodka most of the time.

Told her I didn't think so. The name of the place is Funky Biscuit during their Monday night blues jam. Just trying to imagine being a regular hanging out there and in having those guys show up. Apparently that happens from time to time. I know that club -- it is in Boca Raton, FL, not Delrey. Next to each other but night and day different. As far as I can tell neither was there. But they almost certainly were not there together. ETA: The owner of that club never misses a promotional opportunity, and if either walked in for a drink, it would be posted online and press released in 1,2,3.... They have booked Robert Plant's "Band of Joy" blues cover bands. That may be the root of this story.

That was last winter. They were in town for something or other just a few weeks ago. This thing was not any kind of gig. No announcement. Open stage. They walked in and played. It was a fun jam not an appearance. She said they knew the owner. She is an old rocker and a big fan of Zeppelin so she would know if it was really them. Can't say. I wasn't there.

I am glad this is finally on YT. It really shows how much fun they both are having -- and gives a hint of what this moment was like for the audience. I actually hope they get to perform together again -- no rocks it would be great for Adam -- and I think they could really do something pretty cool together. Of course, I would love to see them do a duet of a Gaga song. Now we just need Adam + Madonna, Adam + Prince, Adam + Bowie and my #1 dream collab Adam + Led Zeppelin. I think this is the best video. It really does show that it is just loose and loads of fun and they both look so happy. It's a big win. Yup, this is the future folks. Love it!
