I'm so far behind on the concerts, but wanted to share my 6 degrees of separation story.
I run a B&B and yesterday had guests from the San Diego area, mother and daughter. Was looking at something on the computer with the mother when she noticed my desktop picture, and I'm sure you all know what that would be! She asked who it was and I said that it was someone from her area, Adam Lambert. And she went "yeah, I thought that is who it was". And then she told me her daughter performed in community theatre with Adam! So she told her daughter later and while we didn't get into details, there were also other guests present and I'm looking after breakfast for them, but her daughter said Adam was always the star! It didn't sound as if she had followed his career in any way unfortunately, so I did mention the QAL gig to them, but they were only there for one night so no more chance to chat. But so cool! I've often wondered if something like that would ever happen with getting guests from so many different places!
Just also wanted to add my thanks to all of you who always bring everything over here and share your stories. I'll catch up one of these days!
I am like a tree, from my top bough I can see the footsteps that led up to me
Bringing shimoli710's post of LOTG video over from concert thread with the different beginning.. Looks like Adam might have been late getting on stage.
Adam & Queen 'Lap Of The Gods' Melb 29th Aug - Starkid Gleek
I mentioned this in my recap I think he was late then went all improv on its ass... Loved it.
I was listening to the audio stream here in Finland and when Adam started to sing this I was awwwwwww! Oooh great! Is this his blues version I thouhgt? I'm not an expert of the music genres but I love blues and R&B. (my thoughts are in concert thread)
I love this version. I love how professional Adam is and I love all his interpretations. Do you know many POP stars who can make so many interpretations of a one song ( like "Whole Lot a Love") as Adam do? I know that you know that, my Atop friends
Am I hearing things or is he telling "Malcolm" I want to break free" at the end? Was it a 'malcolm" that was part of the Take 1 album release around FYE release and kerfuffle and was he not from 'down under'?
Or is the reference to something/one completely different?

or am I just losing my mind.....???
Anyone? This could be intriguing.
"I am who I am." Adam Lambert "Church of Glam Rock, are you ready for this shit?!" Adam Lambert "Serious Pipes Under the Serious Moonlight"

I thought, "Surely not!" Listened and heard the usual "darlin' can't you see". What I expected to hear. But, not quite sure. Three replays later, it DOES sound like "Malcolm." Are we both delusional?
Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought.

I expected him to replace "baby" with "Melbourne" earlier, so when he did, I heard it right...
