Dropping in my comments on ITLOTGr from yesterday's thread about an hour ago Quote Edit Post by graciejane on about an hour ago 13 hours ago bridgeymah said: Here you go I think you'll like it - vid sound not great but you get the idea... I think he was a bit late but then decided what the hell and went all gospel improv on its ass Thanks for tracking that down. I still think the improv was that he could not hear and was letting them know. Once he could hear he moved in to the proper lyrics. Quoting myself here. After listening with better speakers, I take back the statement of adlibbing the lyrics. He was definitely messing with his sound pack though. Wonder if the improv to the bluesy vibe was to avoid trying for the high light intro without being able to hear clearly???
That is taking a potential train wreck and turning it into a steamroller. Fantastic job. Another keeper. This is not the first time he's done those vocal runs before beginning a song...

Byron Cooke's review is up here:http://byroncooke.com/queen-adam-lambert-icons-with-a-future-icon/ "I witnessed s omething bigger than a great Queen show tonight. Before my eyes, I saw the birth of a new rock icon. There were Aussies at Rod Laver Arena tonight who turned up knowing NOTHING of Adams career to date …..and left with a new favorite singer."

Am I hearing things or is he telling "Malcolm" I want to break free" at the end? Was it a 'malcolm" that was part of the Take 1 album release around FYE release and kerfuffle and was he not from 'down under'? Or is the reference to something/one completely different? or am I just losing my mind.....??? Anyone? This could be intriguing. You guys are funny! He is saying Melbourne!

I was right next to the sound guy! he was very intense!

Anyone? This could be intriguing. You guys are funny! He is saying Melbourne! Yes, it's Melbourne. He also did this for the Sydney concerts. Not sure if he started singing the city's name in this song earlier on in the tour, including Perth.

He can be a new rock icon if he chooses to sing and release rock album.
