It's never really been explained but I believe it's a song about youth getting bored and needing to break out and go crazy.... Of course "playin' on my slide trombone' is a nice entendre....  Oh, good one --  There are two entendres in that line.....bet it was written by Freddie! He was more subtle than Adam but there are many of these in Freddie's lyrics -- and this song was mostly written by Freddie. (He talked about SCC a bit in an interview in 1975 about "Sheer Heart Attack" -- but mostly spoke about its origin.) Rainy afternoon I gotta blow a typhoon and I'm playing on

Ha ha ha. I never noticed that one. Only took 40 years of listening to that song. ETA: Adamrocks, you may or may not want to include this one on the list for your brother. Depends on his attitudes!
hhmm.. I wonder if back then, 70s, people see these two entendres or they just didn't pay attention.
