I had this one all lined up and ready to go but Betty came through!! It's still cute, though- Brand spanking new here! My first post! So happy to be here. That cartoon is one of the best I've seen, especially Roger and his very persuasive eyes, Brian and John's noses, and Freddie's teeth. That's awesome! Welcome lelemaple... great to see you !

WELCOME, LELEMAPLE!
We always like to hear how peeps first "met" Adam. I'd love to hear your story if you don't mind!
Thank you to all of you! I'm happy to be here! I'm so excited to sift through the threads and I know I will learn a lot. Well...it goes something like this. I knew Adam from the Idol days but was a casual observer over the past few years. Yes, he had a great voice, but he wasn't one of my "go-to" people, if you know what I mean. Even when he was with Queen a few times prior to this year, I wasn't that interested, to be honest. Just so you know, I am an almost lifelong Queen fan, ever since my much older brother played "Bohemian Rhapsody" on vinyl in his bedroom in the late 70s. I was either 5 or 6 at the time. At that point I was hooked, but I went through periods with the band. Over the past few years with the Adam collaborations I wasn't paying too much attention. I always loved the music like crazy but never knew a ton about the band. Even when Freddie died I was sad but it didn't affect me like it impacted many people. I followed Brian May on Facebook over the past year or so but wasn't all that into it. Then it all started to unravel, LOL. Adam appeared on Glee and I started to take notice, since I thought he was fantastic and a breath of fresh air for that show, which was kind of a mess to be honest since Cory Monteith died. Then, Queen and Adam announced their tour on GMA and I instantly knew I had to go. I started doing a little casual research on Adam and learning as much Queen history as I could, but once I went to the Forum show on July 3rd, all bets were off. I couldn't believe my ears and eyes. My best friend and I could not believe Adam's range and our jaws literally dropped. I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. Brian May and Roger Taylor were in spectacular form and the chemistry between the band was off the charts. We both left the show saying "I would go tomorrow if I could" and I NEVER say that about a concert, even though I've seen U2 3 times, Springsteen twice, Van Halen 7 times, Green Day, Foo Fighters, JT/Jay-Z, and countless other bands. I've probably been to 120 or more concerts in my life. I even saw Queen with Paul Rodgers in the 2000s, but I can unequivocally say without a shadow of a doubt that the Forum show was the best concert of my life. Period. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking ahead and didn't get to any other shows on the North American tour, partly because I had other vacation time with family already scheduled. Once I got back though, the obsession really kicked in and I couldn't get enough. I went to the LA touring production of We Will Rock You...twice. Now I must have 1,000 or more pictures on my computer, and probably 50 videos from the shows and also interviews, plus I even put a few of the Forum and iHeart theater songs on my iPod. I got up in the middle of the night to hear the last few shows in Australia and New Zealand, 1:00 AM for the latter. I cried hard the other night before going to bed and then waking up before the last show in Auckland because it was almost over. Queen are the best band in the world and will always be in my book. They are amazing musicians and wrote many incredible and diverse songs. I've been going through my catalog and my favorites keep changing. Right now it's Queen II so I have my Live at the Rainbow box set on preorder (I am so stoked!). I have not yet bought Adam's entire catalog but have quite a few songs and I love what I hear. Adam and Queen together...it's hard to put into words how that makes me feel. I'm getting teary-eyed even thinking about it right now. I am a huge huge huge Freddie Mercury fan (happy birthday to Freddie!) and always will be. He was truly one of a kind and a spectacular performer. However, he is no longer on this earth and Dr. Brian and Roger are too damn incredible to retire, and why should they? Dr. Brian is one of my heroes. He is an amazing human being, a genius, and the best guitarist who has ever lived. You should have seen me when he favorited one of my tweets; I was so freaking excited! I think this collaboration has done wonders for all three of them. It has rejuvenated the older gentlemen and has renewed their spirit and their love of playing Queen music, and it has given Adam incredible self-confidence and a way to share his many gifts with the world. I'm blown away by him and am in awe of his power, control, and utter mastery of his instrument, not to mention his charm, charisma, and utter gorgeousness. I simply love the man to death and I cannot wait to see what the future brings. I am a new fan, but a fan of his for life. And, when they announce the next leg of their tour, whenever that is, I will be there. I would go to Europe if necessary; it means that much to me.
