I see the point. If it's okay for the celebrity to be older, why not the fan. It is okay. Of course it is. Anyone in any audience is okay with me. Anyone can be a fan.
Still can't deny that when I see someone arguing with an article in a magazine geared for younger gay men, and bragging about the fact that they are a grandma glambert, I cringe. Sometimes does more harm than good IMHO. So sorry, not sorry.
They don't have to apologize for their feelings or actions. I don't have to apologize for my reaction. It's pretty much involuntary. LOL #trueconfessions.
And as Forest Gump would say: That's about all I have to say about that.

It is adorable! I think the You Tube was posted here yesterday. Or maybe that was Twitter!

We ALL have a right to be fans and we all have the RIGHT to do whatever the hell we want. But just because you CAN post your age on every article Adam is mentioned in doesn't mean you SHOULD. my original comment was talking about the constant need some seem to have to explain why they are fans "at their age" as if them being a fan is unusual or remarkable and should be noted by everyone. As for the difference in celebrity v. fan age, well most celebrities who are older have been in the business for decades so they have earned the respect of their peers and industry as well as the public whereas fans are just that, fans, and like it or not we live in a society that values youth over wisdom and experience. I am not getting any younger and I realize that even I am viewed as "too old" for some of the artists I enjoy (like Taylor Swift for example) but I enjoy them anyway. The difference of course is that I don't go on articles written about Taylor and start off my post talking about my age. We're online...no one needs to know (nor should they care) how old we are. That is the beauty of the internet, no one can see us through our computer screen so we can be fat, old, young, skinny, whatever and it makes no difference unless we MAKE IT make a difference. I do have one thing to address that is bothering me...the older fans are NOT the foundation of Adam's success. They might feel like they are and the world might see them more but the concerts I went to during Glamnation was FULL of young people who love(d) Adam just as much as the older crowd. This belief that you "made" Adam and therefore are entitled to some recognition is part of the bigger scope of the discussion that I think should be had, especially before Album 3 is released and promotion begins. *you is collective and not singular and not meant to point out anyone in particular
Sadly I have no doubt this post will be zapped because as respectful as I have been here there doesn't seem to be an openness for differing opinions around here.

The truth is, Adam made Adam. His tenacity, mental strength and talent.
I have appreciated discussions here in the past because of the diverse backgrounds (countries, etc.)and diverse opinions. It will usually take a few pages for us to come to a better understanding. These conversations are important. Don't shut them down. We are strong enough to discuss and learn. It broadens our views and we are better for it.
