You may recall that before Queen + Adam Lambert started their epic, half-the-world, once in a lifetime but they will return to ride again tour, we started a couple contests to predict the setlist.

And the winner are……

The winner will not receive a fabulous prize, like you could (details below), but the winner will be granted a special Adamtopia Title, "The Great Prognosticator". The loser could also be given a less grand title but something worthy of a setlist warrior!


Here are our entries from 6.14.14.

Talon and I both picked 30 songs. We picked independently but we have 22 songs in common, and 8 unique songs each for a total of 46 possible songs!

We both agreed that the concert will begin with a pre-recorded intro with special effects and end with the Queen recording of “God Save the Queen”.

The 22 common songs included 2 new songs for Q+AL, “Killer Queen” and “Now I’m Here”. The rest of the songs were performed in the 6 Q+AL 2012 Concerts. 21 or the 22 common songs were performed during the North American Tour:

Q3’s Picks

My list is quite different. I admit that after seeing Talon’s list I wanted to make a few changes, but I resisted. I picked a couple really outlandish songs for a Queen concert because I think this tour may be a bit Adamized. So, I picked Queen’s sexiest song, “Get Down Make Love”, a song that describes Adam, “Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy” and a kick-ass rocker made for North America, “Stone Cold Crazy”. I may be “Stoned”, “Cold” and “Crazy” but I also picked Brian’s scifi song, “’39”, an old classic Queen/Brian song, “Brighton Rock”, and “A Kind of Magic” which I think Roger will sing. Now, we were told there would be something “that will surprise everyone” and I selected one of the unreleased, soon to be released Mercury-Jackson duets. I have no idea what they will do but am picturing Adam singing Michael’s part, and Freddie singing something, and Roger in there somewhere. OR maybe there is a vocalist we do not know of who will pop in for this one song.

I got two definitely right....39 and Stone Cold Crazy.

For my 8th unique pick, I have a variable Guitar Solo by Brian May. So just like Talon, I think that Brian will change it up, but I think he will do that with his guitar not with a sing-along. So we will score this the same way sort of. I will get points if Brian play guitar solos that incorporate parts of at least 3 different songs over the course of the tour – excluding “Lsst Horizon” which Talon picked.

So who won? Amazingly we tied!!!

Without counting my variable Guitar Solo guess we are tied with 35 points. So I am awarding Talon the title of "The Great Prognosticator" because we did not even consider the possibility that we would tie.

Now, I need your help! (Because I think I actually might have won!!!)

I know that Brain incorporated multiple songs into the guitar solo over the course of the North American Tour. For example, there was a big chunk of Brighton Rock played at every concert I attended. But I know there are more. The question is are there 2 more songs in that solo -- excluding "Brighton Rock" and "Last Horizon"?

So I need some help. I need videos of Brian's guitar solo. Or any expert reports of exactly what was in some of the solo performances.

When Adam Lambert appeared on the eighth season of American Idol, people couldn’t stop talking about the shape-shifting, 6’1” singer with the glam-rock sartorial flair, razor-sharp sense of humor, and jaw-dropping, powerhouse voice.

2009 saw Lambert release his debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’, for which he received a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” (for his smash hit ‘Whataya Want From Me’), in addition to scores of international awards and honours, and he also became the first ‘Idol’ to do an International tour to support his debut album.

Lambert channeled his newfound fame into raising awareness about issues close to his heart, advocating on behalf of LGBT causes The Trevor Project, Equality California, and GLAAD, as well as for charity organizations MusiCares, charity:water, and DonorsChoose.org, and continues to do so.
