Yesterday, Shoshanna re-answered the Adam fan questions about if the album will be released in 2014 – and the answer is pretty clearly still “no”. Here are my take-aways from her tweets:

Adam is “still recording it and it's already sept, I think you guys can work that one out”

Q3 translation: 2015 album.

“well once an album is finished it then has to get mixed &mastered. Usually a single or 2 precedes it by at least a couple months”

Q3 translation: Even if Adam finishes the album in September (and my bet is October), add a month for mixing and mastering, and even if there is just 1 lead single, the timing pushes the album into 2015.

When asked “After the word "Finished" we must add 4 more months before the release... And 2 or + treats in between?” Shoshanna responded “depends how many singles precede the album. It varies. But after it's done there is a process before it comes out, yes.”

Q3 translation: Sounds like the plan is to release a lead single and see how it does. Based on that they will decide if there needs to be a second single before they release the album. This is a very typical strategy. That means that they are likely to release a single before they give the album a specific release date.

Finally, all Shoshanna really did was reconfirm that the album will be released in 2015 and provide typical single and album mixing, mastering and release timelines.

So here is my attempt to “work that one out.” There are countless ways this could happen and no matter what, if they release the first single and it does not perform as expected, they will adjust.

Here are a couple realistic scenarios:

Scenario #1: Fast, fast schedule, 1 lead single, and then trailing single(s).

This one is an album released 4 months after the recording is completed. About as fast as they will possibly go.

- Adam finishes recording the album September 30, 2014 which I believe is the best case.
- Lead single released November 5, 2014.
- Radio promotion starts November 19, 2014 and it gets substantial airplay and sales.
- Some big performance of the single.
- Album released February-March 2015.

Scenario #2: Longer promo cycle with 2 singles before the album is released – fastest schedule.

This is the general idea of what I am hoping for – a longer, more intense promo build.

- Adam finishes recording the album September 30, 2014 which I believe is the best case.
- Buzz single released November 5, 2014.
- Some big performance of the single.

If this is a dance-pop track, promote to clubs. If it is a mid-tempo ballad, get it placed in a TV show or film or somewhere that is not radio.

- Release second single and promote to radio February 2015.
- Another big performance.
- Intense promotion 30 days prior to album release.
- Album released March-May 2015.

Whatever happens I think there is a real chance we hear some new music from A3 before the end of the year – we will have a single with some kind of promotion in late 2014. It may not be promoted to radio, it might just be a “buzz single” to generate interest in the upcoming album and to build awareness. It might be associated with a media event or performance because everyone has to recognize that Adam is a supreme live performer.

Last guess – whatever they have planned – I do not believe this will be a simple release a single, promote it to radio, release the album path. It will be “Adamized”.
