Queen to release 'Freddie Mercury celebratory vodka' Killer QueenOfficially branded spirit will be available from September 17 www.nme.com/news/queen/79782?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=queen#EW5Me13Ebt0MHOh4.99An official Queen-branded vodka is set to be released in the UK. The premium Freddie Mercury celebratory vodka is named 'Killer Queen' and will be released in time to celebrate 40th anniversary of the band's 1974 hit single of the same name. The 40 per cent ABV spirit is produced by the Stoli spirits producer SPI and will be available from September 17. Brian May described the Stoli vodka production plant in Riga, Latvia, as "the Willy Wonka chocolate factory for adults" following a recent visit. He also claimed that Mercury would have approved of the vodka being named after him, stating: "Freddie loved vodka and used to carry a dry ice cooler full of vodka with him on tour. Killer Queen Vodka is the perfect tribute." A press release describes the vodka as "well versed in etiquette" which is "seven times distilled using an ancient original vodka filtration process of quartz sand and birch charcoal with a unique filtration process at the final stage."

Gurl! It was the Long Island Iced teas! Do you know what all is in those things! Original recipe makes 1 iced tea
1 fluid ounce vodka
1 fluid ounce gold tequila
1 fluid ounce rum
1 fluid ounce gin
1 fluid ounce Cointreau or triple sec
5 fluid ounces sweet and sour mix
2 fluid ounces cola
1 lime wedge
OMG don't remind me, LOL! I'm having flashbacks! I know it was those which did me in but I like to blame the last thing I drank, a lemon drop...and it was all a moot point since I'm divorced but so much better off, LOL.

Queen was a night to remember Vector Arena - Auckland - Thu 4 Sep 2014Posted 12/09/2014by Madamshalet This Fan's Reviews Loved the show, just boogied alone the whole night. Totally buzzing for days after.
Favourite moment: When they put a video of Freddie on the big screen
Adam is outrageous Vector Arena - Auckland - Thu 4 Sep 2014Posted 11/09/2014by Waaz This Fan's Reviews Great show and Queen were as good as they were back in the 80's. I was not familiar with Adam Lambert prior to the show but was most impressed with his vocal range and personality. It was also good that he did not attempt to impersonate Freddy. The variety also added to the show with the band showing their versatility. Long live the Queen.
Favourite moment: The show finally starting after a 25 minute wait and then Bohemian Rhapsody
ETA: I have to add this one!
WE Want Queen to Live Forever Vector Arena - Auckland - 27/08/2014 Posted 05/09/2014 by BarryB

After being row 5 in front of the stage in Sydney the week before, it was home to Auckland to see them perform at Vector Arena. Would seeing the same show for a second time within a week be boring? Anything but!! No Lady Gaga this time, but no loss. We were there to see Queen + Adam Lambert. The set, the sound, the lighting, the pyrotechnics, all sensational. A couple of songs I'd of liked to have heard over a couple that I did, but you can never please everybody 100%. We were there to be entertained, and we were, for over 2 hours each time. Adam Lambert isn't Freddie, but he doesn't pretend to be either. He brought his own style, and what he brought was more than fine by me, a fan since 1973. Brian May signed my original Queen 1 vinyl album before the show, so I was well pleased!! Some critics have panned Queen for keeping on going; I'd like to thank them for doing so. I'd hate to have missed what I witnessed twice in the week just past, and glad they're performing for us, the fans, and don't worry what a few misguided critics might say. Brian May's virtuoso guitar work and Roger Taylor's drumming is just as good as it was in 1973, and the keyboards, percussion and bass were all top notch in support. A serious show from a serious rock band. The last concert of the 2014 Queen tour, but hopefully not the last time I get to see them perform.
Favourite moment: Bohemian Rhapsody, Who Wants to Live Forever, and anything/everything off the Sheer Heart Attack album
