No reason to mention Q+AL in this context.....

The article is about Pollstar's mid year assessment of the touring season -- US shows played between January 1 and June 30, 2014 -- and how things turned around a bit in July and August.

Q+AL did not have enough shows in the US to make a dent in the overall US concert business which is in bad, bad shape. There were 16 Q+AL concerts in the US including the two Las Vegas shows. Here is just a grab of some random concert reports to illustrate the scale of Sir Paul's Tour....

Rollingstone did several nice articles on QAL during the course of the tour. Maybe this guy doesn't read his own publication :D, but I AM SURE the facts police folks will point out the error of his ways, gently remind him of the tour and inform him it was sold out everywhere and exactly how much the tour has made (even thought they don't have a f'ng clue).

And a response from someone marketing Adam as a brand can never be considered 'private'. It is deliberate and is meant to 'shape' behaviour, as well as promote Adam's image. More broadly, the whole concept of privacy is being redefined by peoples' use of social media. And I also suspect that people would message someone on twitter privately if they really wanted to keep it that way.

So, as a communication device, one message was delivered. Was that message received? Time will tell.

the communication works a bit better when you define what it or that might refer to.

Otherwise, you sow confusion. People attempt to discuss/decipher your meaning and invest it with their own meaning. What did you mean? Who knows? You flunked -- especially when you are a professional communicator.

The second, and more literal message was also being discussed and was highly ambiguous. It has led to many posts speculating about its meaning. In that way, it can rightly be considered a failure. By substituting the words, "The business doesn't work that way", which is my guess, it would have been a lot clearer and would not have led some people to believe that Adam had turned down a judges role in the past, for instance.

And finally and more generally people were also talking about twitter as a form of communication and their frustration with its Stimulus [don't think too much] Response, nature.
