WOW// something good is happening in music.. Barbra Streisand's new album Partners.. all old tunes, sung with all different famous pop male singers, is number 1 on ITunes. There is hope for Adam and album 3.. good music coming back... OR, older people are the only ones left actually buying music/albums.

Ok thanks! My imagination is in overdrive I guess. Nah....If you can imagine it, it can happen! I'm picturing QAL at the O in London as well. I just need dates and good seats! Some of us checked out that venue online a month or so ago when a rumor of OAL performing this Nov surfaced. I just looked on their website and Lady Gaga is doing 3 shows there, Kylie Minogue has 3 shows, Pharrell has 2 dates, Linkin Park have 2 dates, & Michael Buble has 2 dates. My guess is at least 3 dates if not more at that venue, but you never know.

OR, older people are the only ones left actually buying music/albums. OR maybe RCA was visionary and old music is the new music. ??? It is really complicated for the music business -- music listening is way up over the past 10 years, but music buying is way down. 1. digital conversion (the "album" is just a bundle of tracks in digital space. 2. buying alternatives -- mostly free - steaming media, peir-to-pier sharin, YouTube to Spotify, you no longer need to own the music you listen to. 3. economic downturn - things really shifted in 2008 -- across demographic groups, across the world. Not much better now. Two things are certain: - Barbra Streisand is in a league of her own and what her album does has nothing to do with anyone else. - There is no way the crew at RCA was visionary -- but thanks for the chuckle. ETA: And thankfully Chris Brown did not get the #1 album. Not a fan of that man.
