since this is my least fav part of the book, I did like what they did with it. Never understood why Claire seemed to be so complacent about Gillie killing her husband. Reasoned it out that there was not a way in that time to prove the murder but still she knew and still responded when she received the note. Being away from the protection of the castle she knew that she would be in danger. Yeah, I never understood her "friendship" with Gilleis. Also it occurred to me that Claire should have been able to see Gilleis vaccination scar when she was dancing last night. Only thing I can figure is that they will have her be closer to Gilleis when she sees it in the next episode. I can't imagine that they would leave that detail out.

Neither can I, it is a pivotal point in the book. There are some deep scenes coming up that I am so looking forward to.

I'm excited that we've now reached the point where Jamie's character is fleshed out.

what the hell, I actually entered this, it would be a grand trip!
I have found a couple of good blogs that I am reading on Outlander. I am really hooked! I loved Reckoning, it is my fave episode so far. Not sure where they are going with all the changes in #10, and loved Jamie's narrative, I could listen to his voice forever..

I watched tonight's episode this morning. I would have loved it if I hadn't read the book, DG's way of doing it was a bit better but I still liked it quite a bit.

I agree Tina. I was afraid for a minute there they were going way off book and have Claire turn on G. Not in her character. But it helped simplify the story and explain all the pertinent parts. Remember we never find out what happens to G until later books. The acting between C and J was very good. But they left out so much of her soul searching when she decided not to go back. If you didn't know the book you could think ah, she was lying or the stone didn't work not that she made a decision to stay with Jamie.
