QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT have announced they are to play an extensive tour of the UK and Europe early in the New Year.
In what is certain to be among next year's most sought out music events, Queen + Adam Lambert will reign over a six-week long set of dates across Europe beginning mid January.
Having only earlier this month wound down a sold out world tour taking in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and outdoor festival stops in Korea and Japan, Queen + Adam Lambert are sparing no time in taking their critically-hailed partnership back on the road.
Coming two years after May, Taylor and Lambert last performed a short tour together of the UK and Europe, this lengthier outing will see Queen + Adam Lambert perform 21 shows in 10 countries. The band's tour opens in the UK at Newcastle Arena on January 13 and will see the band play a total of seven shows across the UK including London's O2 Arena. The tour then takes in France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and Czech Republic and ends February 19 in Switzerland at Zurich's Hallenstadion.
Queen has amassed a staggering list of sales, awards, and hall of fame inductions that is second to none. Record sales in the hundreds of millions of units, including an unprecedented string of number one albums and top-charting singles, continue to put Queen in the top ten of all-time iTunes sales. Earlier this year Queen were officially recognized as the first artist ever to sell over six million copies of an album in the UK with their Greatest Hits album, beating out even the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper by close on a million copies, pointing to the astonishing fact that at least one in three British households now own a copy of the band's original Greatest Hits collection.

He tweeted yesterday that he didn't have the money to buy a ticket. Screw that. Someone find out what the closest venue is to him (he's in Wales?) and I'll reimburse up to $150 US. I remember what it's like being a broke university student, but I'm not anymore and he deserves to go. PM me. I pm'd you his email so since he sent me that I assume he can't reopen an account here for some reason. Anyway let me know when you get it. |

A long time ago, JustKaren made a world map that showed everyone in all their countries, but I have no idea what happened to the map.  I actually still have the maps, but they haven't been updated for a very long time. I could turn it into a project between now and QAL-Europe ... in the meantime, maybe we could encourage folks to put their location in their profiles? It would be nice to have both city and state/country ... Love your maps!   (updated my location) |

Adam Lambert will once again tour Europe with Queen next year! "We are delighted to welcome Queen back following a six year absence and with an incredible new front man in American Idol's Adam Lambert. This is royally going to kick off 2015 in style," Paul Tappenden, the Metro Radio Arena general manager, announced the two gigs in the venue. After wrapping up successful shows in North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan, the group will have a short hiatus (Queen will release their new album, 'Queen Forever' on November 10) before moving on to their European dates in 2015. The Grammy award nominee has been touring with the legendary rock group as frontman, impressing fans of all generation with his theatricality and impressive vocal range. The tour was met with some resistance at first. Queen purists thought Lambert wouldn't be able to give justice to the late Freddie Mercury's songs.
However, the American Idol alum proved them wrong. He didn't try to be Mercury and he didn't try to change the songs as well. He sang Queen's songs in his own style while still respecting the original frontman.
With his theatricality that blended well with Queen's, Adam Lambert was able to earn the respect and awe of fans as well as Brian May and Roger Taylor. "Each time we've worked with Adam with our music, he's just the most incredible front man," Roger Taylor said about the Grammy-nominated singer. He added, "He's sensational. He has this amazing range, Freddie had a great range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality. It is very comfortable." They have already wowed European Queen and Lambert fans during their brief tour together two years ago, but this year will be different. "On the technical side, it's definitely more of a production than two years ago," Lambert said about the 21-date 2015 tour. They will also be visiting more cities than their last tour in Europe. May added, "We have a very interesting set design. It's big and daring. We're going to do it to the max" The Queen and Adam Lambert tour at the Metro Radio Arena will be on January 13, 2015, reported Chronicle Live. Tickets for the shows will be available on Friday. And this a.m as I stopped at a shop before settling off on a 5 hour drive .I picked up a paper
My usual rag was sold out so grabbed a copy of the Sun .I know the gutter press
Had a quick flick thro the entertainment page .a wee article about Afl and queen .
And voodoo was playing on the iPod .what a coincidence

if anyone is considering glasgae the hydro arena is new .and tremendous viewing .but if he suffer frae vertigo stick to lower l levels
