This old interview on The Big Morning Buzz was really cute. I think the host really likes Adam and he seems to have fun with her when he's on her show.

OT but one of the crappy things about living in CA is the poor coat selection. I need a new winter coat for the UK. I have 2 but neither are what I want to take. Going to at least take a look today but I doubt I'll find much here. I almost need to try it on rather than buy something online. So, given the weather information in my last post, I just need to pack for weather very similar to where I live, but not for how I would if I still lived in Ohio. I will likely go with a 3 layer system. And since both the airlines and the UK train system will charge extra for too much luggage or luggage that is too heavy, I will go for very light weight packable options. Note that light weight outer wear made from the right kind of materials can be very warm. You will more likely find coats made from these light weight high-tech materials at places like REI, LL Bean, and Land's End. These places often give a temperature rating for various coats, but it does not include how the temperature range is affected by wind chill factor which must be taken into consideration in some places. Here's what I am thinking: 1) Outer Layer - Women's Trail Model Raincoat from LL Bean I hear that a rain coat is a must in the UK. This is an extremely light weight knee length raincoat that packs into it's own pocket and takes up very little room. It is my go to rain coat for travel and it is a good as a wind breaker for windy weather also! I have 2 of these, 1 in my size for warm weather, and 1 in a size larger to layer over a fleece jacket & vest. It also comes in a model that already has a fleece lining, but that limits my layering options. Sale price colors: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/71846?feat=6703-GN2&page=women-s-trail-model-raincoat Regular price colors: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/68165?feat=506593-GN3&page=trail-model-raincoat2) Middle Layer - Down Vest from Land's End (LL Bean and REI has also) A down vest is the most practical solution for adding extra warmth for night time cold. It is very light weight and compacts to take up very little space. And I will get a small stuff bag from LL Bean or REI to put it in like we used to do for down sleeping bags when backpacking. Land's End sale: www.landsend.com/shop/sale/womens-outerwear-vests/-/N-jz9ZfyeLand's End: www.landsend.com/shop/womens-outerwear-vests/-/N-fyeLL Bean sale: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/507482?nav=ln-6703&page=vestsLL Bean: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/610?nav=gnro-27#/llb/shop/504729?nav=ln-506593&page=vests3) Inner Layer - Not sure about what to take here, but something long sleeve that can be layered under the vest and raincoat and preferably below hip to knee length. If it looks like the weather is going to be mostly mild, I will likely bring a below the hip length fleece jacket in what LL Bean and Land's End call "200" weight (heavier than "100" weight). Here are a couple of examples: Land's End sale: www.landsend.com/products/womens-polartec-aircore-200-parka/id_264228Land's End: www.landsend.com/products/womens-polartec-aircore-200-fleece-parka/id_273417LL Bean: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/78735?feat=504732-GN3&page=women-s-trail-model-fleece-drawcord-jacketIf I knew it was going to really cold, I would take a light-weight packable down coat to wear under the raincoat like this one from Land's End (Land's End & LL Bean both have shorter jacket length versions of this also): Solid colors: www.landsend.com/products/womens-lightweight-down-packable-coat/id_274235_57Pattern color: www.landsend.com/products/womens-lightweight-down-packable-coat---pattern/id_274237_57 I was also looking at something in quilted PrimaLoft such as these, but I really wanted something longer: Land's End sale: www.landsend.com/products/womens-primaloft-packable-jacket/id_275808Land's End: www.landsend.com/products/womens-primaloft-packable-jacket/id_264589Land's End: www.landsend.com/products/womens-quilted-primaloft-parka/id_273420LL Bean: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/82557?feat=504734-GN3&page=primaloft-packaway-jacketLL Bean Sale: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/86241?feat=507481-GN3&page=primaloft-packaway-hooded-jacketLL Bean Sale: www.llbean.com/llb/shop/86597?feat=507481-GN3&page=primaloft-packaway-jacket&attrValue_0=Island%20Green&productId=1363470

I'm at the Blake Shelton concert and The Band Perry just covered Fat Bottomed Girls. Very good cover! Also, the emcee Neal McCoy and his band covered a riff of AOTBD. Queen are everywhere, even a country show! I'm so impressed by their reach.

Adam's arm is so full of tats that they are all starting to run together and it looks almost solid black. Not in an HD photo or video it doesn't. Watch that Summer Sonic vid!

Is anyone else watching SNL? Adam Levine just played Freddie Mercury in a skit...yellow jacket, mustache & all. Maroon 5 on now. I just don't get this.

Was working on computer versus watching tv, but...........srly? Oy....... You made a wise choice, IMHO. This whole show has been flat & lame. I'm kinda hoping our Adam passes on it if ever asked. SNL just ain't what it used to be.

Queen are everywhere, even a country show! I'm so impressed by their reach. There are a lot of country artists who cover Queen. Zac Brown band did a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody during their set at iHR 2014-- festival.iheart.com/home/article/watch-zac-brown-band-performs-12815152**** For the people worried about cold in London -- I have one recommendation, make sure you are prepared for rain. Weather Averages for London in JanuaryTemperature 44°F 7°C Low Temperature 40°F 5°C High Temperature 49°F 9°C Sunshine Hours 3 hrs image Rainfall 52mm Rainfall days 19 daysGranted it is cold compared to LA but it is not Chicago or New York. Oddly, the most likely day for it to snow in London is January 14th! But rain is far more likely.
