Traditionally staged in London, the U.K. music awards show presented by Classic Rock magazine has enlisted Sammy Hagar as host for this year's ceremonies on Nov. 4 at The Avalon in Hollywood. The Red Rocker, currently on his A Journey Through the History of Rock tour, is at work on a new Chickenfoot album and a solo acoustic project tentatively titled Sammy Hagar and Friends. Best known for his first band Montrose and as former front man for Van Halen, Hagar has also bolstered his resume as founder of Cabo Wabo tequila and Sammy's Beach Bar Rum. "The Classic Rock Roll of Honour is one of music's coolest and most prestigious events in the U.K., so I'm really excited to be hosting it for the first time in the U.S.," Hagar told USA TODAY. "My goal is to keep it fun and filled with so many off-the-hook music moments that we put it on the map alongside the Grammys, VMAs and other awards ceremonies." Past Roll of Honour hosts have included Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons and Duff McKagan.

The Jakarta rumor is Oct 17, 2015, I would not think anyone would refer to that as soon. Now the AT&T showcase is what I was thinking as well. Way long shot but an acoustic set with Brian and Adam would be killer. Grammy's ???? life time achievement? That is not soon and besides, the Grammy award show is Feb 8 - right in the middle of their tour. I wonder if it is that other award. Don't remember exactly but we were voting on it or AMA Yes. That one I see other atoppers already onto that one. That seems more plausible than ATT Pride on Monday and is "soon". |

I think it's that Classic Rock award thing in November but I'm also going to throw in that it's Adam taking the trip and he's going to London to sing 'Love Kills' with Brian and Roger on 'The Graham Norton Show'. They need to promote 'Queen forever'. Adam can also do some self promotion while he is there.
In the setlist I'd like to see 'Innuendo', 'White Queen' and 'Good old fashioned lover boy'. I like Talon's suggestion of 'Death on two legs' being dedicated to David Cameron!
I think they will also include the two other 'Queen Forever' songs;
'Let me in your heart again'
'There must be more to life than this'
